The iconic actor, L.Q. Jones, has died.

Jones played numerous characters in a career spanning over six decades.

Jones is perhaps best known for his roles in TV shows Cheyenne, Rawhide, Gunsmoke, Laramie, Wagon Train, and The Virginian.

And for starring in films such as Ride the High Country, Major Dundee, The Wild Bunch, The Ballad of Cable Hogue, and Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, as well as The Patriot, and The Mask of Zorro.

Many will also remember Jones from Casino.

In Scorsese’s classic, Jones played Commissioner Pat Webb and had numerous scenes with Robert De Niro.

Jones’ death was confirmed by his family.

According to numerous reports, Jones died of natural causes in the Hollywood Hills surrounded by loved ones.

He was 94.
