But one mom has claimed that her 12-year-old daughter was bullied in school over her name…
According to the reports, the mom also said that the name was a “very nice and common” name.
In an anonymous post on Quora, the mom questioned why people bullied her daughter in school for her name.
But many couldn’t actually believe someone would name their daughter that…
And obviously it didn’t go down too well with commentators who bashed the mom…
And also if she was asking a “legitimate question.”
“I wonder if this is a legitimate question or a troll question since it has been posted anonymously,” wrote one user.
“Either way, my answer is: You know exactly why your daughter is being ‘bullied’ for her name. You absolutely know that it’s not a ‘nice, common name’ for girls,” another user wrote.
“You gave your daughter a name that most people use for males. Instead, you could use a name that can [be gender-neutral],” said another.
And the comments kept on pouring in…
“If this is a real question, you are the person who shackled your child with this name and you need to own up to your part in her being bullied. I suggest you figure out ways to help her learn to deal with the teasing and reactions she is going to get for the rest of her life, thanks to you,” wrote one person.
“You should already know the answer to this question: everyone knows that it is a boy’s name! How could you not have known this? Is this a trick question asked by a troll or something?” added another.
Another commenter even made a joke about the girl’s situation…
And said it was “similar” to the Johnny Cash song, ‘A Boy Named Sue’.
According to The Mirror, the anonymous mom named her daughter…
Kevin!
Clearly not a common name for little girl, right?
