Who hasn't heard of Leonardo DiCaprio?

The forty-five-year-old actor is one of Hollywood's most loved heart-throbs, and it has to be said, he's a pretty amazing actor.

He became famous for his leading role in 1997's Titanic...

And he went on to take on many more epic roles in movies such as The Aviator (2004), Inception (2010), Django Unchained (2012), and The Wolf of Wall Street (2013).

But his acting isn't all that people like to talk about...

And neither are his gorgeous looks, believe it or not.

Leo has had his fair share of girlfriends.

All of his partners have a few things in common - they're all drop-dead gorgeous, and they've all been a lot younger than him.

His dating record resembles the Victoria's Secret casting list...

In the '90s, Leo reportedly dated models such as Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen, Kristen Zang, and Amber Valletta.

His track record is endless...

Over the years, he has also briefly dated the likes of Paris Hilton, Blake Lively, Erin Heatherton, Miranda Kerr, and it was even rumored more recently that he and singer Rihanna had a fling.

He seems to like his girlfriends to be quite a bit younger than himself...

Which has certainly caused a little bit of controversy with fans over the years.

But many believe that there is a reason for this choice of partners...

While filming The Beach in Thailand in 2000, he was accused of damaging the environment and getting a co-star pregnant by the Thai tabloids. At the time, the previously clean-cut star said it was "a stab on my reputation."

Experts believe that Leo's experiences when he was 25 may have stopped him wanting to date anyone older.

Andrea Lindsay from Click For Therapy said, "It is possible that DiCaprio’s negative experiences at 25, may have subconsciously scared him."

The psychology behind this choice of women is fascinating.

Psychotherapist Noel McDermott agreed, saying, "Leo may feel like the trauma of the event meant he should only date someone of the age he was when this happened."

But putting the psychology aside...

Many believe that Leo just has a type, and that type is a supermodel in her twenties.

Leo has been dating someone for over a year now...

Which must be a record for the Hollywood heart-throb!

The lucky woman is Camila Morrone...

Or should we say that Leo is the lucky one...? Camila is an American Argentinian model, and she's only twenty-two-years-old.

The pair have been romantically linked since December 2017...

And it is believed that they have been officially dating for around a year and a half now, meaning that for Leo, this is pretty serious.

The couple are fairly private...

And they rarely post on social media together. But Camila posted a photo on Instagram earlier this year of the classic Hollywood couple Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart, who had a twenty-five-year age gap, similar to her situation with Leo.

The comments are still flooding in over her posting of the photo...

And a lot of them were negative and hateful towards her relationship with Leo.

Camila has finally decided to address the negativity...

She recently took to her Instagram story to post a short video, and she explained how she felt about the cruel comments.

"People are so mean"...

"I just read some of the comments on my Instagram," she said to the camera. "And, my God, people are so mean and full of anger with people they know nothing about."

Celebrities face a lot of hatred on a daily basis.

"I guess I just hope on this Friday that people learn to live with a little less hatred and place their time and interest elsewhere because living without hatred feels pretty good," she said to finish the video.

Camila has received a lot of praise since she uploaded the video...

People have encouraged the actress to ignore the negativity, to be with who she wants to be with and to generally just carry on living her life... we couldn't have said it better ourselves! To keep reading about how Leo met Greta Thunberg and described her as the "leader of our time"...
