It was during those years of filming the sitcom that they laughed together, cried together, and supported each other through the highs and lows of their personal lives. It’s this trust that Lisa cherishes and is grateful for.

His sudden passing is still painful to think about.

Part of her touching post read, “Thank you for making me laugh so hard at something you said, that my muscles ached, and tears poured down my face EVERY DAY. Thank you for your open heart in a six way relationship that required compromise. And a lot of ‘talking.'”

All cast members have since released their own tributes to Matthew.

Kudrow continued, “Thank you for showing up at work when you weren’t well and then, being completely brilliant. Thank you for the best 10 years a person gets to have. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for all I learned about GRACE and LOVE through knowing you. Thank you for the time I got to have with you, Matthew.”

It’s still hard to process.

Friends was not just a television show, as many fans know; it was a cultural phenomenon that touched countless lives. The characters, including Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer, became household names, their catchphrases became everyday lingo and their friendships became the benchmark for real-life relationships.

Despite the show ending almost two decades ago, the cast is still close.

For Kudrow and Perry, however, this experience was all the more special because they got to live it together. The pair’s on-screen chemistry was undeniable, but it was their off-screen friendship that truly shone through, and fans knew this because the two were often spotted out and about together.

Lisa’s tribute was moving, to say the least.

Kudrow’s heartfelt thanks to Perry is a testament to the deep bond they share. In an industry where relationships are often transient, their friendship has stood the test of time. They trusted each other implicitly during those ten years on Friends and continued to do so up until his passing.

Among the sea of grieving faces at Perry’s funeral in LA earlier this month, Aniston was said to have stood out among her fellow cast members. The recent Friends reunion had witnessed the duo reminiscing their on-screen time together, but this reunion was evidently painted with a hue of melancholy.

Sources say all of the co-stars were in attendance.

Aniston, who, according to the Daily Mail, had been struggling with the loss, arrived first at the funeral, choosing to keep to herself in her grief. Sources told the publication that Aniston arrived at the funeral, her face masked with sunglasses to guard her emotions, while her usually vibrant personality was subdued by the somber occasion.

Those present noted that she chose a corner and kept to herself for most of the event, with her silence speaking volumes about her struggle to come to terms with Perry’s sudden death. Aniston and Perry’s bond transcended their on-screen chemistry as Rachel Green and Chandler Bing in the hit NBC sitcom.

One can only imagine all the memories they share with each other.

The duo also shared a deep friendship off-screen that spanned decades. Perry’s death has left a void that is hard to fill for Aniston; she was reportedly one of the first ones to arrive at the funeral, a testament to their enduring bond.

The loss of a dear friend is never easy to digest, let alone when it’s someone as close as Perry was to Aniston, who credited the actor for always being able to make her laugh on the set of Friends.

Despite her reported struggles, Aniston had ensured her attendance at Perry’s funeral, marking her respect for their shared history. And her early arrival and solitary presence were indicative of not just her personal loss but also the collective grief of losing a beloved actor who touched millions of hearts.
