Lori Loughlin's Daughter Returns to Youtube After College Admission Scandal and Gets Owned | 22 Words

Lori Loughlin's fate remains undetermined, but it seems pretty likely she is going to be serving some jail time.

Loughlin, who came into the limelight playing Aunt Becky in Full House has been a constant face on our screens for over twenty years.

The news that she was embroiled along with her husband, Mossimo Giannull in charges of fraud, shocked America.

Olivia Jade, one of the couple's 2 daughters, had become a public figure before the scandal.

Her beauty blog Youtube channel was extremely popular, as was her Instagram. Both of her social media profiles amassed over a million followers.

Since the college admission scandal, Olivia Jade has been absent from YouTube. That is until now...

Surprise, surprise, Olivia Jade's return was not met with much support.

Here's what happened...

Lori Loughlin made a name for herself on Full House

The family-based sitcom, Full House was a huge success. Not only did it springboard Loughlin's career but it was also Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's breakthrough. Full House ran from 1987 until 1995. Loughlin was there through it all, playing the beloved Aunty Becky.

In 2016, Netflix decided to make a spin-off of the original sitcom and call it Fuller House. A lot of the old cast returned, including Aunty Becky and her husband, Uncle Jesse played by John Stamos. However, since the admissions scandal, Netflix has dropped Loughlin. Fans are still not sure how Netflix is planning to explain her character's absence from season 5.

Loughlin has also been dropped by the Hallmark Channel.

The Hallmark Channel was the first to sever ties with Loughlin after she was arrested for the admissions scandal. In March 2019 Loughlin was dropped by Hallmark and her scenes from season six of When Calls the Heart are being edited out.

Olivia Jade lost her advertising deals.

The social media influencer had a lot of advertising contracts with beauty brands. She was dropped by Tresseme and french beauty company, Sephora, who were quick to distance themselves from her once the scandal broke.

The investigation is still ongoing. But it is widely understood that the couple paid $500,000 in bribes to a coach at USC to give places to their daughters under the guise that they would be part of the athletics team. They are currently on a one million dollar bail, awaiting charges.

According to her father's court hearing, Olivia Jade had found the USC application confusing and had allowed someone who is facing charges to fill it out for her.

One of the things that have infuriated the public with this case is that Olivia Jade clearly wasn't bothered about her education. Simply because the family is incredibly rich they felt as though they should get everything, even a sports scholarship, which would have to be taken the place of someone who actually deserved it.

"... I do want the experience of like game days, partying ..."

In a revealing YouTube video, Olivia Jade had even told her many fans that she wasn't really bothered about going to college. Before the scandal had broke, she posted a video in which she talked about starting school in the fall. She said: "I do want the experience of like game days, partying ...I don't really care about school, as you guys all know."

But mommy and daddy wanted her to have it all.

Which of course, has backfired massively.

The Loughlin-Giannull clan had no idea they would get caught out.

It is pretty clear that Lori and Mossimo are facing time, nevermind the effect this has had on Lori's acting career and Mossimo's fashion empire.

Olivia Jade's parents might not be around this Christmas...

There have been multiple news reports speculating that Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannull could be serving jail time before Christmas.

Another famous face in the college admissions scandal was actress, Felicity Huffman. Huffman pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 14 days in jail and ordered to do 250 hours of community service.

The fate of Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannull remains uncertain. Because Lori and Mossimo pleaded not guilty to the original charges they are now facing bribery charges which carry a much heavier sentence. According to Forbes, "as a result of these new charges, which could carry up to 10 additional years in prison, and previous charges, Loughlin and Giannulli each face 50 years in prison."

I think it's safe to say the family is not popular right now...

Whilst there are plenty of people who feel sorry for the family, the majority of Americans have no time for these privileged criminals.

It's surprising that Olivia Jade has continued to post on Instagram really...

The social media influencer has carried on posting pictures on her feed which show off her privileged lifestyle. Her privilege once drew subscribers in, but now in reaction to the admissions scandal, her wealth and spoiled lifestyle only serve to further condemn her.

The comments are not kind.

Olivia Jade's Instagram was once flooded with warm messages from her loyal followers, who both envied her and wanted to be her friend at the same time. Now, it's a very different story.

Which is why many were surprised to see her return to Youtube.

It seemed that despite knowing she would receive a whole load of backlash, Olivia Jade couldn't stay away from her YouTube channel.

In 2017, Olivia Jade crashed her car whilst vlogging.

Before the college admissions scandal, Olivia Jade created a storm of her own when she crashed her car whilst vlogging. The seventeen-year-old was recording herself singing Stevie Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours" on her cell-phone, whilst driving. Surprise, surprise, she crashed the car. I guess it's clear Olivia Jade is addicted to her social media presence.

It seems some of Olivia Jade's fans were missing her.

I guess there were people who had got addicted to watching her rich kid content.

Some people were waiting for an apology.

An apology that it seemed Olivia Jade was not going to give. Although to be fair, she does say at the beginning of the video that she isn't allowed to discuss the case for legal reasons.

People were not prepared to watch Olivia Jade play the victim.

It's clear that many Americans are not ready to "forgive" Olivia Jade or her family.

It seems Olivia Jade's privilege; which originally built her up, will be the thing to pull her down.

Isn't that ironic?

White Criminals.

Many people want to see the Loughlin-Giannull family pay for their crimes. With the injustices in the American legal system, people are expecting that these rich white people will probably get off lightly... which makes them even more hated by the general public.

People were shocked at all the positive comments on Olivia Jade's video.

Their surprise that people were only sharing support towards Olivia Jade, had one plain explanation...

Olivia Jade was deleting all of the negative comments.

To give the illusion that she had won everyone back and that she had public support, Olivia Jade was deleting all negative comments underneath her video.

Some people did genuinely support Olivia Jade.

It's clear that some people were more than happy with Olivia Jade's return and how she orchestrated it.

Olivia Jade hasn't lost all her fans.

It seems some are even excited to see her return to YouTube.

Those that dislike Olivia Jade are trying to work out why she's been forgiven...

They predict it's because she is by no means affected by the college admissions scandal. However, I believe there is another reason Olivia Jade's channel has regained popularity...

People were always laughing at her, not with her.

I guess there's a lot of people out there that just love to hate Olivia Jade and thus find it funny to watch her YouTube vids.

We'll have to wait and see whether the videos will continue...

Perhaps that might depend on how well her mom and dad's next day in court goes...
