One of the richest women in the world, Mackenzie Scott, has filed for divorce from her second husband.

The fifty-two-year-old separated from her first ex-husband Jeff Bezos back in 2019.
The pair had been married for twenty-five years, and had 4 kids together.
In the wake of the divorce from Bezos, Scott has become famed for her philanthropy.
According to Forbes, she has given away “at least $12.7 billion” since her first divorce.
She has been vocal about her charitable giving on her Medium blog.
In one post, she writes: “Putting large donors at the center of stories on social progress is a distortion of their role. We are attempting to give away a fortune that was enabled by systems in need of change.”
And now the novelist has filed for divorce from her second husband.
She married Dan Jewett in 2021, a former teacher who left his job to join in with Scott’s philanthropic efforts, UNILAD reports.
PEOPLE reports Scott’s current net worth as $28.9 billion.
Prior to news of the divorce, the Giving Pledge website featured a statement from Jewett. He claims he “never sought to gather the kind of wealth required to feel like saying such a thing would have particular meaning.”
