After making a successful transition from a dancer to a budding actress, teenage sensation Maddie Ziegler finally opens up about the toxic relationship she shared with dance teacher, Abby Lee Miller.

Eight-year-old Maddie liked when the cameras filmed her, as her mother Melissa told reporters she ‘thought it was so cool’ but didn’t realise the side effects of fame at such a young age – with numerous mean comments flooding her social media.

The Australian singer spotted Ziegler on the reality show, she said the dancer was the ‘standout star of the show’ – turning muse for Sia soon after.

Maddie recently opened up about her relationship with her dance teacher calling it a ‘toxic environment’…

Maddie recalled her experience on Dance Moms as ‘so much drama’ even adding: “I don’t want to see it again.”

That’s not all, the 19-year-old told Daily Mail, that the toxic environment fuelled her decision to leave the show for good in 2014. Dance teacher Abby felt ‘distraught’, Maddie said.

According to reports, Maddie ‘feels at peace’ knowing she did the right thing leaving a toxic environment for her mental health.

She continued saying: ‘I knew I would be okay without her’ – after facing many challenges and the pressures that come with child fame.

Since leaving Dance Moms, Maddie has bagged prominent roles in films like The Fallout, West Side Story and The Book of Henry.
