Now, we all know that the Kardashians are one of the most famous families in the world.

Their hit reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, kicked off back in 2007 and ever since, it's completely taken over the world.

Archiving the chaotic and glamorous lives of Kris Jenner and her daughters, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie, KUWTK has gained a global fan base...

And although the show will air its final season in March, the sisters are now more famous than ever.

Not only have each of the sisters embarked on their own business and career ventures...

But they each hold the biggest presence on social media, with the youngest of the clan, Kylie Jenner, boasting a staggering 213 million followers.

It's utterly mind-blowing to see how far the family has come in the last decade...

And it's clear that despite KUWTK coming to an end, the sisters aren't yet finished.

But naturally, fans are devastated to wave goodbye to their favorite reality show.

The Kardashian family has been through so much since KUWTK first started, including the countless fights the sisters have had, the amazing career and modeling ventures, the transition of Caitlyn Jenner, the marriages, the babies... and of course, watching the family grow and always stick together.

But throughout the good times...

There have, of course, been the bad.

And one of those times was in 2016.

Kim attended the prestigious Paris Fashion Week with husband Kanye West, Kris Jenner, and sister Kourtney to support Kendall who was modeling in the presentation.

Kanye left Paris early to attend a concert in New York City.

While Kim was in Paris, she regularly took to Instagram to document her time in the fashion capital...

All while flaunting her extremely expensive jewellery collection that she had taken with her on the trip.

We all know that Kim Kardashian isn't a person afraid to show off her lavish lifestyle...

But it seems that this is exactly what lead to her enduring one of the most traumatic incidents of her life.

In the early hours of October 3rd, 2016, Kim had gone back to her rented apartment in the Hôtel de Pourtalès alone for an early night...

But shortly afterward, 5 armed men made their way into the flat after threatening the concierge and proceeded to tie, gag, and blindfold Kim as they stole a jewelry box containing valuables worth approximately $7 million, as well as an engagement ring worth around $4.8 million.

They also took Kim's cellphones...

And had threatened to kill her if she made any noise... all while held at gunpoint in the bathroom of the flat.

This must have been an unbelievably traumatic ordeal for Kim...

And after giving a statement to the police a few hours later, Kim immediately flew back home to Los Angeles to be with Kanye, who had canceled his concert half-way through due to a "family emergency."

Kim fell silent on social media for weeks as she recovered from the trauma...

But in an episode of KUWTK that aired a few months later, Kim opened up to Khloe and Kourtney about the terrifying ordeal.

"He duct-tapes my face and over my mouth to get me to not yell or anything, then he grabs my legs and I had no clothes on under [my robe], and he pulls me toward him at the front of the bed and I'm thinking, 'okay, this is the moment they're going to rape me'," she said through tears.

"I fully mentally prepped myself and thankfully, he didn't."

"They had the gun up to me and I just knew that was the moment, they're going to shoot me in the head. I just prayed that Kourtney was going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed," Kim then said.

It took Kim a very long time to truly get over the incident...

And although she seems to be doing better than ever right now, the possibilities of what could have happened still haunt her to this very day.

And what about those responsible for the robbery?

Well, in 2018, French police arrested seventeen people in connection to the robbery - including Kim's chauffeur, Michael Madar.

The reality star's bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, was also sued for $6.1 million by her insurance company after he "neglected to protect her private apartment," according to the BBC.

It was all very stressful and complicated...

And almost a year on from the incident, the media coverage finally calmed down and Kim started to resume normality in her day-to-day life.

But now...

One of the men accused of taking part in the robbery has spoken out.

Yunice Abbas, who has never been photographed, was among the 5 men involved...

And he is now releasing a book titled I Sequestered Kim Kardashian, in which an extract has just been published in the French edition of Closer Magazine.

In the extract, Abbas detailed how the group had mistakenly taken Kim's phone with them as they fled...

After which they realized the iconic "Fast Car" singer/songwriter, Tracy Chapman, had been calling her.

"In the most complete haste, I pick up the valuables. This time, my rear wheel is punctured. As I passed a marauding police car, a totally incongruous telephone ringing made me jump. Before my incredulous eyes, a name then appeared on the luminous screen. Not possible … I'm hallucinating!" he said, as per LadBible.

Abbas went on to reveal that the group had relied upon elderly people to scout the building during preparations for the robbery, remarking:

"What could be more reassuring than elderly people, as peaceful as they are anonymous, in order to glean as much information as possible on the spot."

He also claimed that Kim and her secretary had repeatedly called 911 at the beginning of the robbery...

Despite being in France, noting "our 2 fatal beauties have [sic] for a long time stubbornly insisted on dialing 911."

Abbas went on to clarify that Kim had eventually "complied" with the robbers after realizing they weren't "threatening her life."

Which is something that Kim clearly didn't realize at the time.

So, there you have it. it's truly shocking stuff, right?
