“If I were in a relationship that I expected to be equally respectful, I wouldn’t have gone on stage in the first place,” one fan opined.

Another wrote: “I understand, but I wouldn’t break up with her. It’s a concert, let her have some fun.”

Born in Tappahannock, Virginia, in 1989, Chris Brown made a big name for himself with a selection of catchy R&B hits such as “No Air”, “With You”, and “Forever.”

Brown’s been the recipient of many awards, including 4 Billboard Music Awards and a Grammy.

He also holds the seventh place for most entries in the Billboard Hot 100, with ninety-one.

Brown managed to hugely up his profile by dating pop superstar, Rihanna.

Here, they’re pictured in happy times — but their relationship has been marred by one major incident.

A violent altercation in 2009.

This left Rihanna with severe injuries, which ended up requiring hospitalization.

The news of this incident blew up, leaving many fearing for Rihanna and disgusted by Brown.

And for many once-Brown fans, this was the final nail in the coffin.

In spite of his clear musical talent, he just wasn’t the kind of person that you’d want to show support to.

This incident wasn’t all.

Even though there’s one overriding incident that people point to as proof of Brown’s violent behavior, it’s clear that it exists as a part of a much wider (and more frightening) pattern.

After the Rihanna split, Brown began dating American actress and model Karrueche Tran who is best known for her roles in the web series, The Bay and TNT series, Claws.

They had a very tumultuous, on-off relationship that spanned over the next 3 years — with plenty of incredibly poor behavior on Brown’s part.

Alongside numerous acts of undoubtable infidelity, there were yet more allegations of violence and abuse lobbied against Brown after the 2 parted ways.

During their relationship, Brown also had a brief renaissance with Rihanna, when the pair dated for a second time in 2013.

But Tran stayed with Brown in spite of this infidelity.

During his relationship with Tran, Brown also fathered a child with another woman. Royalty Brown was born to Nia Guzman in 2015.

But the issues in the couple’s relationship appear to run far deeper than infidelity. In fact, it seems that Brown had fallen into repeating some highly dangerous patterns.

Tran filed legal documents against Brown, including claims that he physically assaulted her and threatened her with death.

Tran explained to Wendy Williams that “It came to a point where I felt like I needed to protect my safety.”

In June 2017, a judge ruled that the temporary restraining order should stay in place for the next five years to protect Tran’s safety.

Although his career has survived dozens of unthinkable allegations, he still appears to be flourishing.

Including a scheduled appearance at last year’s AMAs.

However, the performance, which was supposed to be a tribute to Michael Jackson, was reportedly canceled at the last minute.

“WOULDVE been the ama performance but they canceled me for reasons unknown,” Brown ranted on Instagram.

However, Brown did end up winning the AMA for Favourite Male R&B Artist.

But he wasn’t there to collect it.

Instead, his award was collected by Kelly Rowland.

Rowland said: “Now, Chris Brown is not here tonight so I’m accepting the award on his behalf.”

And the crowd erupted in boos and jeers.

Rowland then said: “Excuse me. Chill out.”

Rowland has expanded on why she defended Brown to TMZ.

“I believe that grace is very real, and we all need a dose of it,” she claimed.

“Before we point fingers at anybody, we should realize how grateful we are for every moment that we get!

“I just think it’s important to remember to be human,” Rowland continued.

“We are humans.

“We all need to be forgiven for anything that we could be doing, anything that we’re thinking,” she explained.

“We all come up short in some sort of way.

  via Getty Images

“And grace is real, and we’re all humans!

“And everybody deserves grace. Period,” Rowland concluded.

The Chris Brown situation has continued to be the center of media attention…

And singer Jordan Sparks chimed in her opinions on it, saying Brown should’ve been there to accept the award.

A TMZ reporter caught Sparks outside ABC Studios, where she was signing autographs.

When asked about Brown and his AMA win, she said he has been one of the best in the game for a while now…

And absolutely should’ve been at the AMAs to perform and to receive the trophy he won.

But now Chris Brown was then hit with more controversy after this years’s Grammys.

He lost an award, and did not take it gracefully …

“Why should this abuser win anything?” wrote one commenter.

“He isn’t the first one to throw a tantrum because he lost and he definitely won’t be the last. There’s always gonna be someone who thinks they’re too good to lose gracefully,” another opined.

He was nominated in the best R&B album category.

But ultimately lost to Robert Glasper for Black Radio III.

Brown took to Instagram stories to air his frustration at the loss.

He wrote: “Bro who the f**k is this?” and “Who the f**k is Robert Glasper?”

However, Brown then attempted to apologize for the outburst.

“Congratulations my brother… I would like to apologize if you took offense to my reaction at the Grammys. You were not the intended target and I know I came off really rude and mean,” Brown wrote on his stories.

He continued, “After doing my research I actually think you’re amazing… the organization isn’t doing us Blacks our due diligence.

“You and I should never be in the same category… two totally different vibes and genres. So from one Black man to another, congratulations. Hope you are able to feed your family for life. God bless my G.”

Congratulations to Glasper on his win!

But recently, Brown has stumbled into yet another controversy…

On tour in Berlin, Brown invited a fan on stage to dance with her.

However, the fan seemed more interested in filming the experience on her phone than reacting to Brown.

Brown was clearly irritated by this, grabbing the fan’s phone and flinging it into the crowd.

And people were not happy about it.

One fan commented: “She literally paid for the ticket to see his show if she wants to record for the memory why not.”

  via Getty Images

Another wrote: “I’m sorry I would have got up of that chair and walked off he had no right whatsoever to do that.”

Brown then addressed the controversial moment.

He reportedly took to Instagram Stories, writing, “F**k dat phone.”

But now, some different on-stage antics have put Chris Brown back in the firing line.

At another show on his tour in Manchester, UK, he again invited a fan onto the stage.

And this time, he put his hands around the woman’s neck.

One person opined: “This is so unpleasant to watch. Even the fact that she’s on a stage with him doesn’t stop her obvious discomfort – as she puts her hand up to his as it encircles her throat.”

Someone else said: “This is so disturbing. A man with a history of DV, sitting a fan on stage, grabbing her around the neck then thrusting in her face.”

Take a look at the controversial moment here.

But Brown’s latest on-stage antics have actually ended a relationship!

A man called Dash documented the entire thing on his TikTok!

Dash’s girlfriend was invited on stage, and Brown entertained her with a raunchy dance.

He shared the video of the lapdance with the caption: “I want £500 and my girlfriend back!”

Following up with another video saying: “Just to update everyone regarding the Chris Brown concert, I’m no longer with my girlfriend but she said she doesn’t think what she did was wrong.”

Do you think Dash was right to break up with his girlfriend?

Or was he overreacting?
