A man had a nasty surprise when he looked under his bed and found a spider the size of his hand with hundreds of its babies…

Around the world, there are millions of people who suffer from arachnophobia…

And it seems there could be some more after hearing this man’s story…

Gil Wizen, a photographer, was staying at a reserve in Napo, Ecuador when he noticed lots of small spiders in his bedroom.

Wondering where they were coming from, Wizen decided to look under his bed where he made a frightful discovery…

Wizen found a huge Brazilian wandering spider and its offspring.

The Brazilian wandering spider is one of the world’s most venomous spiders, Ladbible reports.

Brazilian wandering spiders are also known as armed spiders or banana spiders, Live Science reports.

The outlet reports that they belong to the genus Phoneutria, which means murderess in Greek.

In a blog post on his website, Wizen explained: “Not only were there literally thousands of spiderlings under the bed, right beside them rested one of the biggest ‘non-tarantula’ spiders I have ever seen.”

“Its body length was 45mm but with its leg span it could easily cover my hand.”
It might have been a shocking experience but, Wizen managed to win Wildlife Photographer of the Year award for Urban Wildlife after taking a snap of it!
