Things aren’t always straight forward.

Meeting someone online comes with it’s fair share of risks…

Including the chance of being “catfished” or meeting up with a complete maniac.

But one of the biggest risks is perhaps being ghosted by your online date.

Ghosting is pretty much when a person cuts off all communication with the person they’re dating or talking to with zero warning or notice beforehand.
Yep, it’s pretty cruel and the majority of us can put our hands up and admit to being the victims of ghosting.

Well, this is what brings us back to today’s heartbreaking story.

Twenty-one-year-old Craig Moffat, who is from Edinburgh in Scotland, has been single for over 2 years and he recently decided to try and get back into the dating game again.

And when he arranged to meet a girl for a date, he decided to take to TikTok to document the exciting moment.

The clip starts with Craig boarding a 3-hour long train to Aberdeen, with a voiceover revealing, “Finally going on a date after 2 years of being single.”

The young man even treated himself to a first-class ticket…

Before arriving at an up-market restaurant twenty minutes earlier.

Craig ordered a glass of wine for himself while he eagerly awaited the arrival of his date…

But he soon updated his followers by showing an empty seat in front of him with the voice-over explaining, “It’s been thirty-five minutes and she still hasn’t shown up.”

He even ordered some food for himself when the time began to seriously tick by…

And to make things even more heartbreaking, the young man had dressed up in his best suit for the occasion.

Feeling downhearted, he eventually ordered shots before returning to the train station.

“I guess I’ll just head home… I was really looking forward to tonight.”

And we hope he’s doing okay after such a heavy blow! It’s true when they say, there are plenty more fish in the sea…
