And of course, for decades, men have been expected to adhere to the rules of chivalry. The social code that originates from the early twelfth century expects men to display a certain level of “politeness" towards the opposite sex.
And the social norms that come along with chivalry are certainly alive and well in modern-day society.

But times have changed massively since the term was first coined. And now, it's a huge talking point.
The rise of feminism has certainly had a part to play.

But what about if someone is pregnant?

Well, one man doesn't think so.

The trouble was ignited when the man in question took to a subforum on Reddit.

In a thread titled "AITA for not giving up my seat to a pregnant woman?", the original poster asked the community if it was wrong of him to refuse to give up his seat for a pregnant woman.

She looks around for a seat, only to find there are no available ones left. I’m the closest to her, so she starts giving me the imploring eyes," he wrote.

The man goes on to say that the woman started crying..."She started crying about how she’s a pregnant single mom, and I told her I’m sorry, but that was her personal choice and she can’t expect other people to accommodate her life choices."
The man then said he told the woman that it wasn't his job to support her.Which then lead him to be called out by an elderly man who was also using the bus.
So, was this man in the right for taking this stance on the issue?
