Man Who Died for 90 Minutes Explains What the Afterlife Is Like

One of the consistent mysteries that always seems to be cropping up is what happens to us after we die. While many religions promise to know the fate of our souls in excruciating detail, science tends to lean more toward an absence of consciousness.

But now, a man has claimed to have definitive proof of what happens after we leave our mortal forms — and the internet has found it incredibly terrifying.

Which makes many of us curious!

Many look at those who’ve had near-death experiences to help us try to understand what happens when we cease to exist in the accepted sense of the word.

Is there life after death?

The idea that the essence of our personhood exists outside of our physical forms would suggest that, after death, there’s some form of continuation.

NDEs have classic signs.

There are many tropes concerning near-death experiences that have permeated our culture, like walking towards a tunnel of light.

There’s a theological aspect.

While there are a few differences between what major religions tend to think, there is an idea of an afterlife as a reward that permeates western beliefs.

But it isn’t all pleasant…

Because, if there’s a Heaven, then, by rights, there should also be a Hell — and that’s a pretty frightening concept.

There is an alternative …

Because, if there’s no Heaven or Hell, and no soul, then where does that leave us after we die? If all there is is total oblivion, that’s pretty terrifying.

Many scientists claim that near-death experiences are a result of brain activities that go on after the heart stops beating.

Chemicals released can provide feelings of euphoria and even hallucinations, which could provide a more logical explanation.

It’s a real mystery.

And since we likely won’t actually find out until we die, it’s probably going to stay that way. Or so we thought — until this viral post came to our attention…

Alistair Blake, sixty-one, suffered a heart attack in 2019 and shared his experience with the Daily Star.

While he waited for treatment, he was technically dead for around ninety minutes.

“Technically, I was dead for 90 minutes,” he said.

“I remember going to bed on the Saturday night – and the next thing I remember was waking up on Thursday morning on a trolley going from ICU to coronary care.

“The human brain has totally blocked out what happened in between.

“A lot of people ask me if I saw anything, and no, I did not see anything,” Blake explained.

“No bright lights, nothing like that whatsoever.

“It’s a case of not knowing what’s out there – but I don’t mind about that, as long as I’m fit and healthy,” he said.

However, the near-death experience was not without consequence…

Blake has since totally revamped his diet and lifestyle, to ensure his next brush with death is far, far in the future.
