And with so many different social media platforms, there’s more whacky moments going viral then ever before.

Take TikTok for example.

It’s pretty unlikely that you’ll see a teenager who isn’t obsessed with the social media platform.

And it’s not just the kids.

The majority of us adults are too, with us posting every inch of our lives on these apps and communicating with others through them solely.

It’s not just about funny videos though.

People can actually earn a living through social media, such as selling things on Instagram or starting a business through Twitter.

But there are some apps that aren’t so productive…

And TikTok is one of them!

What is TikTok?

Basically, it is an iOS and Android app made for creating and sharing short lip-sync, comedy, and talent videos.

It went viral pretty quick

It was the world’s fourth most downloaded app in 2018, beating Instagram and Snapchat – which is a pretty big achievement!

It reminds many people of Vine.

Who remembers Vine? Launched in 2012, Vine was a short-form video hosting service that allowed users to share 6-second-long looping video clips.

And TikTok videos are similarly weird.

But it has to be said, the majority of them are rather entertaining.

Animals and TikTok are the best combination.

More and more people jumped on board the TikTok bandwagon and started getting their beloved pets involved.

Some are just plain weird…

It’s a mystery as to what goes through people’s heads when certain types of TikTok videos are made…

And of course, who could forget the pranks on Tiktok…

People love to film themselves pranking others and share it online.

But if it’s longer videos you’re after, then YouTube might be the platform for you.

And there’s one Youtube video in particular that’s taken the internet by storm this week.

Where one man actually transformed himself into a dog…

And for a pretty hefty price tag.

Yep, you heard that right – A Japanese native, who goes by Toco online, has transformed himself into a canine.

He paid over $14,000 for the hyper realistic costume, which helped make his dream of ‘becoming an animal’ a reality of some sort.

Toco uploaded footage shared to his YouTube channel, that has more than 32,000 subscribers..

His shows him in the costume as he frolics on a lawn, rolls on a floor, and plays fetch.

He even ventured out into public…

Bystanders appeared to be in awe of the man’s doggy debut as he paraded down a busy street in the viral clip,  which has racked up 1.7 million views.

Although he seemed pretty confident in his public ventures…

Toco admitted to feeling  “nervous” and “scared” of venturing out into the real world.

“Do you remember your dreams from when you are little? You want to be a hero or a wizard,” he wrote in the clip.

“I remember writing in my grade school graduation book that I wanted to be a dog and walk outside.”

In another video, Toco actually answered a series of questions about his rather unusual hobby.

He even admitted he “had a vague dream of becoming an animal” ever since he was a child.

“When I fulfilled that dream, this is how it turned out,” he wrote in the clip.

Toco also revealed he chose to become a collie due to the negligible size difference between the breed and humans.

His costumer was manufactured by a company called Zeppet.

They said it took 40 days to create the furry fashion item and cost $2 million Yen (USD $14,161).

Despite going viral, Toco has reveals that he tries to keep his hobbies separate from his personal life.

“I don’t want my hobbies to be known, especially by the people I work with,” he told the Daily Mail.

“They think it’s weird that I want to be a dog. For the same reason why I can’t show my real face.”

That’s a pretty interesting secret to keep.

And people don’t know what to make of it.

  via Getty Images

“this is super weird and we don’t have to tell ourselves that this is okay for people to be doing,” one person commented on Youtube.

However, other’s disagreed.

“Am I the only one who thinks this is kinda sweet? Like he is living his best life and everyone deserves that,” one person defended.

“I applaud him for finding his joy, every dog has their day. It’s ruff being human, dog gone right,” said another.

A third person jumped to his defence, writing “I think Toco is very heart-warming. Wit or Without the dog costume it is always really nice seeing someone achieve their dreams. And as said, its not hurting anyone.”
