Marjorie Taylor Greene has received a lot of hate after her recent tweet against the LGBTQ+ community.
People are shocked by her post...
Marjorie Taylor Greene is no stranger to controversy...
But her latest move might be her worst yet...
Recently, the House voted to remove Greene from her committee assignments.
With even eleven Republicans voting against her. And now, even more are going against the politician after her latest move...
Marjorie Taylor Greene is a republican politician currently serving as a U.S. representative for Georgia's 14th congressional district.
Greene was elected to Congress in November 2020 and then sworn into office in January 2021.
A business woman and politician, Green is also a conspiracy theorist.
Having previously supported theories such as QAnon.
And it's her beliefs in conspiracy theories, that have played a part in leading her to here...
Being stripped from committees.
While running for her nomination last year, Greene drew attention as a result of her online activity.
Post were found tying her to QAnon and other conspiracy theories, as well as comments vilifying Muslims and other groups.
Online posts also included remarks casting doubt on who was responsible for mass shootings and condoning violence against Democratic leaders.
One surfaced even questioning whether a plane crashed into the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001.
And now she's back at it again...
By installing a sign outside her Congressional office saying that there are only 2 genders.
The move was in response to Congresswoman Marie Newman placing a transgender flag outside Greene's office...
After she voted against the anti-discrimination bill.
"Our neighbour, @RepMTG, tried to block the Equality Act because she believes prohibiting discrimination against trans Americans is 'disgusting, immoral, and evil,'" Newman said in a tweet.
"Thought we'd put up our Transgender flag so she can look at it every time she opens her door."
A few hours later, Greene put up her own sign, saying: "There are TWO genders. MALE & FEMALE. Trust the science!"
"Our neighbor, @RepMarieNewman, wants to pass the so-called 'Equality' Act to destroy women's rights and religious freedoms," Greene said in response.
"Thought we'd put up ours so she can look at it every time she opens her door."
Greene was heavily criticized for voting against the Equality Act...
A bill to ban discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.
It would explicitly protect LGBTQ+ Americans, which is surely something to strive for?
