The official autopsy report on John McAfee's controversial death is out and the ruling is that the seventy-five-year-old tech mogul took his own life in his prison cell in Barcelona.

McAfee repeatedly told the internet that he would not kill himself and many people trusted his words... and some still do.

"I am content in here. I have friends. The food is good. All is well. Know that if I hang myself, a la Epstein, it will be no fault of mine," he wrote in a tweet leading up to his body being found in a cell.

Prison wardens found McAfee hanging in his cell on June 23rd, according to his lawyer Javier Villalba. Apparently, a suicide note was also discovered in his pocket.

His widow, Janice McAfee, has demanded a "thorough investigation' of his death, saying her husband did not appear suicidal when they last spoke. She wants "answers about how this was able to happen."

"His last words to me were 'I love you and I will call you in the evening'."

Many people have been critical of the autopsy as it really didn't seem as if McAfee would be willing to end his life in that way. But either way, that's what his death has been written off as.

McAfee was arrested at Barcelona airport in October 2020 on a warrant issued by prosecutors in the United States, who wanted to jail him for thirty years for his alleged evading of more than $4 million in taxes. Before he was found dead, the courts had ruled he would be extradited to the U.S to face the music.

He was also adamant that the government was trying to shut him up, with his wife exclaiming that people are now "guilty until proven innocent."

In a Father's day post, 3 days before McAfee's supposed suicide, his wife wrote a heartfelt letter to him via Twitter:

"Either play ball or get fu**ed," she wrote.

If one thing is for sure though, McAfee would be thrilled to know that his death is shrouded in mystery and conspiracy.

So, what do you think happened to the notorious computer programmer?
