In a scathing new TV interview, Princess Olga - Queen Elizabeth II's cousin - has suggested that certain royal family members should "sit down and shut up."

Now, since the former actress married Prince Harry in 2018, she has been thrown into the spotlight in ways she could have never imagined.

It's been an eventful few years, to say the least.

Meghan and her husband have since formally stepped down from their positions as senior royals...

And they are currently residing in Los Angeles where they're raising their son, Archie, and expecting their second child.

But, recently, they decided to speak out about their experiences with the royal family and British press in the last few years.

In March, the world watched on in shock as the couple dished the dirt upon the monarchy to their friend and neighbor, TV powerhouse Oprah Winfrey.

It's the interview that everyone was talking about.

Their 2-hour-long interview aired on CBS on Sunday, March 7th, and viewers watched on in shock as some mind-blowing allegations were made against the monarchy.

For example...

It was claimed that senior members of the family had refused to get Meghan professional help when she was experiencing suicidal thoughts during her pregnancy with Archie.

Meghan also addressed that incident with her sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.

Headlines were made in 2018 when Meghan allegedly "made Kate cry" in a row about bridesmaids' dresses in the days before her and Harry's wedding - well, in her chat with Oprah, Meghan claimed that Kate was the one to make her cry.

Though she did stress that Kate had apologized and that she had "forgiven her."

Harry then explained that he "had to get out," though when he did he was "cut off financially" when he and Meghan needed help the most...

He also added that they've since been relying on his inheritance from Princess Diana.

"I was totally cut off financially. My family cut me off – if I didn't have what my mom left me, we wouldn't have been able to do this."

"All I wanted to do was keep my family safe."

Meghan then insisted that they never had any plans at first to quit the U.K - she said the intention was to "do this forever" and that she told the royal family to "use me as much as you like."

Meghan then addressed the ongoing issues of racism within the monarchy.

Meghan claimed an unnamed senior member of the Royal family raised "concerns" about how dark Archie's skin would be before his birth.

She implied that this "concern" was the reason Archie wasn't given a royal title...

Because, as we all know, Archie isn't actually a prince.

She said this:

"In those months when I was pregnant, all around this same time... So we have in tandem the conversation of 'he won't be given security, he's not going to be given a title,' and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he's born."

Quite predictably, opinion was well and truly divided over the interview...

With a vast majority feeling sympathetic for Harry and Meghan over what they've allegedly endured in the last few years.

But on the other hand...

People have been slamming the pair for agreeing to take part in Oprah's interview and have even been brandishing them as "liars"... Including Meghan's most vocal critic, Piers Morgan.

But despite the interview first airing almost 2 months ago now, it seems it is still very much the talk of the royals.

As today, Princess Olga has suggested that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should "sit down and shut up."

While noting that you should "never wash your dirty linen in public."

And the internet seems to agree with her...

Appearing on UK morning TV show, Lorraine, Princess Olga was asked about her thoughts on royals giving TV interviews.

Speaking of the Queen, host Lorraine Kelly asked: "Her children have given extensive TV interviews, we have seen that.

"Do you think that is the way ahead to modernize the Royal Family or do you just think people should shh?"

"I was told to sit down and shut up and never wash your dirty linen in public, whatever it happens to be," Olga answered.

"So I think the Queen does it right."
