Meghan and Harry have a major TV deal up their sleeve - and it's one that's worth megabucks. But it seems they may need it, after being forced to pay back the Queen for a rather large bill...
Remember when Harry and Meghan renovated Frogmore cottage?

Annoyingly, though, someone else had to foot the bill.
via: Getty ImagesThe British taxpayer was landed with the £2.4 million price, to be precise.
However, as we all know, the two stepped back as senior royals soon after.
via: GettyMeaning the money had to be reimbursed to HRH, the Queen herself.
And now, thanks to their new Netflix deal...
via: GettyIt seems the pair may have to pay back sooner than they thought... But the question remains, how exactly are they going to do this?
Meg and Harry met on a blind date.
And, in 2017, after a couple of months of privacy...
Meghan was instantly catapulted into the royal spotlight.
via: GettyThough she was already pretty well known for her role as Rachel Zane in Suits, the California-born actress was thrown into levels of fame that she had never experienced before.
The world quickly became Meghan and Harry obsessed.
via: GettyAnd people were delighted to hear the news of their engagement later that year.
And, not ones to waste any time...
via: GettyThe couple officially tied the knot in May 2018 and shortly after, had their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
They make for the cutest little family. But things haven't been as rosy and smooth-sailing as they have been appearing.
Meghan hasn't had the easiest time...
via: ShutterstockJoining the British royal family was never going to be an easy transition, given that a person has to give up their entire life in order to be a part of the monarchy. But Meghan's experience has been especially difficult.
Many dedicated royalists weren't happy to see an American woman of colour in the monarchy...
She has also been relentlessly attacked by the press...

But, this year, the couple have seemingly had enough of the harassment and the criticism...
via: GettyBecause they announced earlier this year that they would be officially stepping down as senior members of the royal family.
They made the announcement on their joint Instagram page, Sussex Royal.
The couple plan on providing a more "normal" upbringing for Archie...
via: InstagramAnd announced that they will be splitting their time between the U.K and North America. “This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity," they wrote.
This was huge news...
via: GettyAnd it was bound to have ruffled a couple of feathers in Buckingham Palace.
But what many people have failed to take into consideration...
via: Getty ImagesIs how hard this whole experience must have been for Meghan - a new mother.
Fuel continued to be added to the fire.
Since her and Harry's sudden move to Los Angeles...
But even then, they can't seem to catch a break from the press.
via: Getty ImagesLady Colin Campbell, a notorious anti-Meghan stan, released a book Meghan And Harry: The Real Story in which she describes some first and second-hand observations about the former royals, and in particular, Meghan's ambitions in the political sphere.
But what we need to remember about this is that Campbell may have never even met them before.
via: Getty ImagesThere has been no evidence of the 2 crossing paths, but it seems as though Campbell still loves to discuss their business, so much so that she released an entire book on it. Sounds a little obsessive.
But all these attempts to tarnish Meghan's credibility come out of fear.
via: Getty ImagesDaily Mail's royal expert, Russell Myers, has claimed that the Queen, as well as a number of the other prominent royals, are going to be left "distressed" after hearing some of the claims that Meghan wanted to discuss, including the fact that she felt unprotected by the family when she was pregnant with Archie.
As the couple settles into LA life...
via: Getty ImagesReports have come in that the pair are planning on pitching a TV show that will take a "political stance" on feminism and racial inequality.
Now, of course...
via: Getty ImagesThese issues are something Meghan has spoken up about in the past. Just last month she spoke at the Girl Up Global Leadership Summit, for instance.
But people don't tend to like the fact that she weighs into politics.

So, we can't imagine the potential show is going to go down well with everyone.
via: Getty ImagesNevertheless, the couple have signed a major deal.
The show is said to focus on "normal" people.
via: Getty ImagesAnd Netflix has taken the bait, according to the New York Times. The couple has founded a yet-to-be-named production company that will make documentaries, feature films, scripted shows, and children's programming, according to the publication.
"Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope," the couple shared.
via: Getty Images"As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us."
They were reportedly attracted to Netflix's "unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action."
via: Getty ImagesAnd that's not all.
Industry insiders have shed even more light on the new deal.
via: Getty ImagesAnd have claimed it could be worth up to $150 million.
But this big fee comes with one major downside.
via: Getty ImagesSky News' Royal Correspondent Rhiannon Mills has some thoughts about what it could mean for their royal debt.
"Neither Netflix nor Sussexes have said how much money they're making from that deal but it's estimated it could be around £100 million."
via: Getty Images"So if they're bringing in that money, it makes sense that they're going to pay this money back to the taxpayer for this home that they still want to keep here in the UK."
"Last year, the big thing that stood out was that £2.4 million bill to refurbish Frogmore Cottage."
via: Getty Images"The reason that people again started talking about just how much money it cost to refurbish it was because at the start of the year Harry and Meghan announced they wanted to step away from royal duties." Perhaps this new venture is a way for the pair to reduce their debt to the royal family while they pursue other avenues over the pond? Want more from Harry and Meghan?
