Meghan and Harry welcomed their baby girl into the world on Friday and everyone was overjoyed. Nevertheless, there has been an abundance of controversy surrounding the baby's name, especially with its Royal connotations...
Well, after a long-anticipated wait...
And enough drama to fill a 13 season soap opera, Meghan and Harry have had their baby girl. The former royals named her Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
"Lili was born on Friday, June 4 at 11:40 a.m. in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital."
"Both mother and child are healthy and well, and settling in at home." the official statement read.
We were also anticipating the reactions of the royals...

Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.
As, in the past year, there has seemed to be an onslaught of media attention placed on them.
After stepping down from royal duties last year to live a more 'private life'...
The couple has been candid with their experiences within the Royal Family, which were mostly bad...
However, despite only being three days old, the baby has created a rift...
Her name seems to have caused a bit of drama.
Lilibet was the nickname bestowed onto the queen by herself as a child.
She was unable to pronounce her own name as a child so the family nickname was born. It was mostly used by the Queen's late husband, Prince Phillip, over the course of their 70-year marriage.
A Royal biographer, however, has branded Meghan and Harry 'rude' for using the Queen's pet name for their daughter.
While on Good Morning Britain, Angela Levin proclaimed that she "doesn't think it's right" as it was a "very private nickname" used by the Queen's late husband.
And there was absolutely no leaks. baby lilibet diana was born and no one knew... that’s on privacy 😌👏🏻— Léna (@duchessmeghn) June 6, 2021
Pleased to announce the arrival of Lilibet Diana. Named after the head of the family who drove us close to suicide and the other family member who was driven to her death by that family #TwoBirdsOneStone #LilibetDiana #RoyalFamily pic.twitter.com/BTO5EO13AD— the Prince of Woke (parody) (@theprinceofwoke) June 6, 2021
Prince Harry and Meghan can name their baby after whoever they like! Those who are saying “they have a bare faced cheek” should mind their own! Congratulations 🎈#Lilibet #LilibetDiana #LiliDiana pic.twitter.com/QKEqlrPhnE— Krys (@OpinionatedKrys) June 7, 2021
She also suggested that the Queen had been left "blindsided" by the name.
She appeared alongside journalist Afua Adom who damed her words as "frankly ridiculous".
"I don't think it's right, it's rude," Levin stated.
Host Susanna Reid was left speechless at Levin's claims.
"It was a very private nickname from her husband, who hasn't been long dead." Levin continued.
Levin also revealed the couple had 'licensed' the name.
She said: "They've made a domain, Lilibet Diana, they did that yesterday.
"The domain is that nobody can use that email and they can use that for any sort of commercial work they want to.
"They've licensed it."
Afua Adom interjected with her own theory on the name...
"Lilibet is such a pretty name, it's such a cute name. It is not just about being named after the Queen."
"It is a bit of a nod to Meghan's mother Doria as well, because Meghan's mother's nickname for her is 'flower', hence why we've got Lili in there for Lilibet."
Host, Susanna Reid, wasn't fully convinced.
"It is a bit of a stretch," she conceded. "But it's also a bit of a stretch to say that the Queen is now sitting up in bed with her egg and soldiers, blindsided and disappointed and fuming that her great-grandchild is named after her!"
