The revelation of Meghan Markle's final words as a royal has shocked the world...
The news comes after the Sussex's stepped down from being senior royals last year...
Despite marrying the love of her life and welcoming her first child into the world, the former actress has had an unbelievably difficult time since joining the British royal family.
And to make things even worse for Meghan...
Her own family, including her father Thomas Markle, has been in and out of the British press pouring fuel on the already scalding-hot flames.
Things have gotten way past overwhelming...
Just think, how would you feel if your daughter or son was treated like meghan markle has been/still is treated by the trolls online.— ElLou 💙 (@ellou1999) November 25, 2020
I imagine sad and angry and you wouldn't want anyone to be like that towards your son/daughter, so why are you trolls like it towards her.
The way Meghan Markle has been treated in my country disgusts me. She deserved more respect than what she got. The way she was treated by the media is vile and everyone who treated her that way is scum. https://t.co/L5Y9d68Qi4— Courtney 🌸💖 (@courtney_jeanx) June 4, 2020

Now, the whirlwind started in 2016 when Prince Harry met Los Angeles actress Meghan Markle...
And even though she didn't fit the criteria for a traditional royal partner due to her being both American and divorced, the pair hit it off instantly.
They married at Windsor Castle in May, 2018...
Which made Meghan an official part of the royal family.
She relocated to London and was given the title, the Duchess of Sussex.
And not ones to waste any time, the couple announced their pregnancy shortly after the wedding.
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born a year later in May of 2019.
Even though the little family seemed to radiate with happiness...
Anything she did or said...
The British media had something to say about it - whether she was being branded as a diva, a control-freak, a "monarchy ruiner," and even a bad mother, Meghan received it all.
There was no doubt that Meghan was struggling, which is what lead to the pair to step down from their royal duties in January 2020.
In a joint statement, the couple said that they wanted "a normal upbringing for their child" and they felt that spending their time between the U.K. and America would be much more appropriate for their family environment.
Their departure from the royal family wasn't plain sailing, however...
Even though the couple is now living and raising Archie in Los Angeles, the royal family made their feelings on their step-down very clear, while the British press continued to relentlessly attack Meghan.
It has also been reported that since the pair's big move across the pond, Harry's relationship with his own family has been strained.
The future King of England, Prince William, reportedly didn't take it well when Harry and Meghan announced their departure and their relationship continues to be on the rocks.
Nevertheless, Harry and Meghan have been embarking on their new lives here in the States...
And they have launched their very own podcast series and a biography book.
But sadly for the pair, drama is never far around the corner...
The book, Finding Freedom has unearthed some pretty unsettling moments that the pair have had to endure at the hands of the other royals.
Written by royal authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, the biography has left audiences less than impressed.
From scandals surrounding the birth of Archie, as well as the overall demise of strong bonds, it was a difficult read.
One of the moments that stood out, in particular, was Meghan Markle's final farewell.
Markle thanked her staff personally after she hosted another event with Commonwealth scholars in which she discussed issues such as health, climate change, renewable energy, and sustainable travel.
She made sure to use her final event to personally thank her staff.
But it's the words she said that really stuck with everyone.
Scobie revealed that Meghan cried as she bid farewell to her team.
In a piece for Harper's Bazaar, he said that "tears that the duchess had been bravely holding back [were] free to flow among familiar faces."
"The Duchess of Sussex emotionally [bid] much-loved aides farewell, with her flight 'home' to Canada leaving in a matter of hours. Scobie later added that Meghan would fly "back to Canada on the last commercial flight of the day, eager to be back in Vancouver Island by the morning before Archie wakes up."
But this one line from the biography described the event best...
According to the author, Markle came and hugged him uttering the words: "It didn't have to be this way."
The one line is enough to reduce anyone to tears, but especially the people that supported her.
Meghan seemed to be grateful for her staff and everything they did for her.
Let's just hope the couple is much happier now.
