Reports have surfaced that Meghan Markle is thinking about composing her own book from her secret diary that could spill a lot of royal secrets…
Meghan and Harry have had a very tough couple of years.
It all started with the denouncing of their involvement with the royal family and everything else followed suit.
Headlines were made all over the world when the British Royal Family’s Prince Harry announced his romance with the Suits actress, Meghan Markle.
The couple met back in 2016 when they were set up by a mutual friend who thought the two would hit it off.
Because the pair hit it off, and they immediately arranged to see each other again, eventually going on to have 2 more dates in London.
The pair officially went public with their relationship.
Though she was already pretty well known for her role as Rachel Zane in Suits, the California-born actress was thrown into levels of fame that she had never experienced before.
The world quickly became Meghan and Harry obsessed.
And people were delighted to hear the news of their engagement later that year.
The couple officially tied the knot in May 2018.
They were expecting!
On October 15th, 2018, the couple announced their pregnancy.
Archie Mountbatten-Windsor was welcomed into the world.
They make for the cutest little family.
But things haven’t been as rosy and smooth-sailing as they have been appearing.
Joining the British royal family was never going to be an easy transition, given that a person has to give up their entire life in order to be a part of the monarchy.
But Meghan’s experience has been especially difficult.
And many attacked the Duchess, slamming her as “fake,” with some going as far as accusing her of breaking up the royal family entirely.
To the point where Kensington Palace was forced to issue a statement, pleading for the press and the public alike to take a step back when it comes to their scathing reporting and bombardment of Meghan.
Because they announced that they will be officially stepping down as senior members of the royal family.
“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen,” the post read.
And announced that they will be splitting their time between the U.K and North America.
“This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity,” they wrote.
This was huge news…
And it was bound to have ruffled a couple of feathers in Buckingham Palace.
Is how hard this whole experience must have been for Meghan – a new mother.
Between being mom-shamed and slammed, Meghan truly can’t catch a break.
They seem to be settling much more into quieter and more normal family life.
And it seems that both Meghan and Harry have been keeping themselves very busy alongside raising baby Archie, who just celebrated his first birthday.
According to reports, Meghan is said to have kept a journal of her time with the prince up until very recently.
She actually shut down her personal blog, Tig, which gave fans a glimpse into her personal life as she rose to fame in the hit TV show Suits, just after she started dating Harry.
And we can only imagine that the Palace won’t be happy about this… at all.
Royal writer, Andrew Morton, who has already penned Meghan: Hollywood Princess and wrote Diana: Her True Story in 1992, 5 years before her death, says he is intrigued by the possibility of a book in Meghan’s own words.
He told the Daily Mail, “She is a good writer, with a nice turn of phrase. Remember she studied English in her first year at Northwestern College.”
He added that a first-person account would give Meghan “total control”, something that she and Harry have wanted more of as they seek a non-royal life in L.A.
According to the report, friends close to Meghan have said she “desperately wants to shatter this image of being a demanding diva who was rude to royal staffers and others on her quest for fame and power.”
“Meghan seems to think that readers will finally understand the monumental anguish and turmoil she had to endure with a stiff upper lip. Meghan said people need to see her vulnerable side, something the book does in great detail.”
They added, “I think [Meghan] wants people to feel sorry for her, or at least have compassion for her and all she’s been through, which has been anything but a fairy tale.”
The couple’s biography, Finding Freedom, is due to be released in August.
“Finding Freedom is an honest, up-close, and disarming portrait of a confident, influential, and forward-thinking couple who are unafraid to break with tradition, determined to create a new path away from the spotlight, and dedicated to building a humanitarian legacy that will make a profound difference in the world,” the description adds.
