Melania Trump Breaks Silence Following Donald Trump's Defeat in US Election

It's official...

From January 20th next year, Donald Trump will no longer be the president of the United States.

Following Joe Biden's victory last week in the 2020 presidential election, Trump has been having none of it...

And he has been accusing the Democrats of "stealing the election" while claiming he's the real winner.

It's all been very chaotic...

And now, the first lady, Melania Trump, has spoken out following her husband's historic defeat.

Now, President Trump has had a busy 4 years.

Love him or hate him, it's hard to deny he's made an impact.

It's been a strange couple of years, to say the least.

No one could quite believe what they were hearing when the notorious business tycoon announced his plans to run for President during the 2016 presidential campaigns.

But, remarkably, it wasn't a publicity stunt.

Donald Trump was being deadly serious about his bid for his place in the White House, and kicked off his campaign with an array of promises, such as building a wall along the border of Mexico, allowing all American's to the right to bear arms, and generally to "make America great again."

And when it came round to election day...

The world awoke on November 9th to see that America officially had its new leader - President Donald Trump.

It's certainly been up and down - Trump has sparked his fair share of outrage, imposing a temporary travel ban on Muslims entering and leaving the U.S. and banning transgender people from the military, just for example. But he also passed a bill that makes animal cruelty a federal crime, and unemployment in the country was at an all-time low at just 3.6 percent.

However, the President is certainly no stranger to criticism and controversy.

Much of his behavior while acting as President has been questioned over the past couple of years, with many calling for him to be impeached, and even removed from office entirely.

And, earlier this year...

Many prayers were answered when the president was actually impeached.

Trump was charged with 2 offenses.

The first was for abuse of power, and the second was an accusation of blocking his aides from testifying and failing to co-operate with the House impeachment investigation.

But despite his impeachment...

Trump continued to hold an awful lot of power and his fan base was still going strong... Which isn't necessarily a good thing considering the majority of Trump supporters hold far-right and very conservative ideologies.

But, despite his overwhelmingly loyal fan base...

There's no denying that Trump has handled this year's coronavirus pandemic terribly.

Our country is the worst affected in the world by the pandemic...

And despite catching the virus himself last month, Trump has seemed to remain completely oblivious to how catastrophic the virus has been for millions of people.

The people of America have been left grieving and feeling angry...

But of course, this didn't stop Trump from running as president for a second term in this year's 2020 elections.

Trump's presidential campaign was as chaotic as we'd all expected...

And in comparison to Democratic candidate Joe Biden's much classier and toned-down campaign, Trump seemed to be losing voters.

He was clearly in panic mode...

And right up until November 3rd, when the votes started to get counted, Trump continued to spread vicious lies about Biden and his campaign team in a desperate bid to be reelected.

But these efforts were to little avail.

On November 7th, it was confirmed that Joe Biden had won the election by amassing 284 electoral college seats to Trump's 214.

It was a clear and fair win for Biden and vice president-elect, Kamala Harris...

But Trump has refused to see it this way and, instead, has been accusing Biden and his team of election fraud. According to Trump, the Republicans are the real winners here.

Trump needs to admit defeat in a graceful and respectful way...

Because if he doesn't, his name will continue to be dragged through the mud.

It's easy to forget that the first lady, Melania Trump, has been by his side throughout it all...

And we can only imagine that she's the one who's received the most heat from her hot-headed husband.

If Trump tweets like this...

Just imagine what he's like to live with behind closed doors.

Well, Melania has now broken her silence following her husband's defeat...

And she mirrored his tweets about election fraud, writing on Twitter: "The American people deserve fair elections. Every legal - not illegal - vote should be counted. We must protect our democracy with complete transparency."

But according to sources inside the White House...

Melania and others who are close to Trump are trying to convince him to concede defeat, reports say.

But reports have also come in that Melania will soon be seeking a divorce from Trump.

As soon as Trump is no longer president, Melania has plans to leave her fifteen-year marriage, which doesn't come as much of a shock to any of us!
