Nearly a month on from her departure from Washington DC, Melania Trump has officially opened her post-White House office, which will play home to a whole host of new responsibilities.
Here's the full story...
Now, it's safe to say that being the first lady was unlikely to ever have been at the top of Melania's bucket list.
Melania, from Slovenia, was working as a model and businesswoman when she first met her future husband, Donald Trump, at a 1998 party.
Trump was in the process of divorcing his second wife, Marla Maples...
But, of course, he didn't waste any time in asking Melania out.
The pair were dating for around 6 years when they became engaged in 2004...

Donald already had 4 children from his first 2 marriages...

The pair seemed to have a happy marriage...
And there was no doubt that they both enjoy the finer things in life.
But this was all to change in 2016.
Donald Trump began his presidential campaign and, much to the shock of the entire world, he was elected as the forty-fifth president of the United States in January 2017 - instantly making Melania the first lady.
From the get-go, Melania was clearly struggling to find her feet in the prestigious new role.
And she was very quickly cast aside by her husband's brash ideas as president.
And of course, it didn't take long for the people of America to start criticizing her performance as first lady.
In comparison to former first lady's such as Michelle Obama, Melania was slammed for not sharing the same passion and charisma; though it was clear that, as Donald Trump's wife, she never thought she'd be in this position.
Cracks between Melania and Donald soon started showing following his inauguration.
The couple have rarely been seen showing signs of affection toward one another over the last 4 years, and the most recent sign was from the 2020 presidential campaign when Melania visibly snatched her hand away from her husband.
And, since Donald lost his presidential campaign to Democrat Joe Biden in November...
via: GettyRumors have been rife that the minute he isn't president in January 2021, Melania will be seeking a divorce.
Although she has strongly denied these rumors...
It's clear that the former model wasn't happy, whether that's with her marriage or the fact that she was forced into such an important role as the country's first lady.
Nevertheless, Melania continued her duties as the first lady right up until Biden's inauguration on January 20th...

Where she quite literally fled Washington DC with her scorned husband hours before the ceremony.
Ever since that fateful day, the Trumps have remained well and truly off the radar...

Though, considering Trump's permanent ban off all social media platforms, this is hardly surprising.
But what about Melania?
The former first lady has barely made a peep this past month - though, let's be real, she's probably enjoying some much-needed down time out of the spotlight.
Several sources have revealed that Melania has been spending much of her time at day spas.
"She goes to the spa, has lunch, goes to the spa (again) and has dinner with Donald on the patio," one person, who is familiar with Melania, told CNN.
Another source added:
"It is not unusual for Melania to spend several hours a day there [at the spa], enjoying the benefits at her disposal, often going twice in a twenty-four-hour period, for massages, nail care, facial treatments or other items on the menu."
But now, after several weeks of non-stop spa days, she's back.
Melania has officially opened her post-White House office, over 3 weeks after leaving Washington, DC.
The former first lady made the announcement on Twitter on Friday, February 12th...
But did not disclose what projects she will be working on under the new initiative.
She tweeted this:
Mrs. Melania Trump is announcing the opening of The Office of Melania Trump. Please follow this account for news and updates.— Office of Melania Trump (@OfficeofMelania) February 12, 2021
"Mrs. Melania Trump is announcing the opening of The Office of Melania Trump. Please follow this account for news and updates."
I wonder what the future holds for the former FLOTUS?
I suppose only time will tell...
