Jamie Lee Curtis is famously known for her debut role in the 1978’s horror cult classic Halloween.

Soon after, the actress went on to star in a slew of additional horror movies such as The Fog and Prom Night, giving her the Hollywood title the “Scream Queen.”

She has also had a whole host of other fabulous movie roles.

2003’s Freaky Friday, which she starred in alongside Lindsay Lohan, is nothing short of iconic!

Curtis is a hugely celebrated actress across the board.

Including having a Golden Globe, a People’s Choice Award, and an Emmy to her name.

And that’s not all…

Curtis has also written numerous children’s books, and even made the NYT bestsellers list!

She has also achieved personal, as well as professional, success.

Curtis married screenwriter Christopher Guest in 1984 — and when she did, she became an official British baroness!

Oh, and let’s not forget she’s an absolute meme queen.

The snaps of her having an argument with a dining companion never fail to make us laugh.

But recently, it’s her physical appearance that has received the most attention…

Particularly on the topic of aging and plastic surgery.

“I love it & I am here for it! The plastic surgery has gotten out of hand!” wrote one fan.

  via Getty Images

“Yes, she’s aging, and doing it beautifully. It happens to us all, and hers is a face that has character, warmth, and movement! She looks real,” added another.

In a recent interview at the Radically Reframing Aging Summit, the sixty-three-year-old shared with host Maria Shriver that she’s had enough of the phrase “anti-aging.”

“This word ‘anti-aging’ has to be struck,” she said.

“I am pro-aging. I want to age with intelligence, and grace, and dignity, and verve, and energy.

  via Getty Images

“I don’t want to hide from it,” Curtis added.

“I don’t want to hide from [my age] it as if it’s a bad thing.

  via Getty Images

“We’re all learning that people are on fire from it,” she said.

“It’s an inside job!

  via Getty Images

“We’re so confused on the outside, but the joy of being my age is an inside infrastructure,” Curtis highlighted.

The summit turned aging on its head, describing it as “one of the greatest gifts in life.”

And was filled with guests, from celebrities to doctors, all giving their opinions on growing older.

During the interview, Curtis said: “I’m not denying what I look like, of course, I’ve seen what I look like.”

  via Getty

“I am trying to live in acceptance.

“If I look in the mirror, it’s harder for me to be in acceptance.

  via Getty Images

“I’m more critical. Whereas, if I just don’t look, I’m not so worried about it,” she said.

Curtis was candid about her own struggles growing up.

  via Getty Images

She shared that she has “been sucking my stomach in since I was 11.”

“[That’s] when you start being conscious of boys and bodies, and the jeans are super tight.

  via Getty

“I very specifically decided to relinquish and release every muscle I had that I used to clench to hide the reality,” Curtis explained.

“That was my goal.

  via Getty

“I have never felt more free creatively and physically,” she revealed.

Curtis also emphasized that worrying only takes away from the time she does have.

  via Getty Images

“I am 63-years-old. My mother died at 76. My father died at 85. I have no effing time to waste.

“My motto is, ‘If not now, when? And, if not me, who?’ And, that has unleashed me and freed me, and allowed me to do everything I’m doing with zero attachment,” she said.

Curtis then made a rare appearance on a red carpet alongside some very special people by her side.

According to Buzzfeed, Curtis recently graced the premiere of her latest movie Halloween Ends…

With both of her daughters Ruby and Anna.

As per reports, the premiere marked Ruby’s first red carpet since publicly coming out as a transgender woman back in 2021.

Curtis took to Instagram and shared a photo from the event and couldn’t help but gush about her darling daughters.

“My family. Proudest mother. Loving support,” Curtis wrote.

Reportedly, Ruby previously attended Curtis’ footprint ceremony, where she was also joined by her wife, Kynthia.

Since Ruby came out, Curtis has candidly spoken about her daughter’s journey, watching in “wonder and pride” as she shared her true self with the bare world.

The doting mom didn’t shy away and said she will support both her daughters.

“I am here to support Ruby. That is my job. Just as it is to care and love and support her older sister Annie in her journeys,” Curtis shared at the time.

  via Getty Images

“I’m a grateful student. I’m learning so much from Ruby. The conversation is ongoing,” she added.

She also said she and her daughter hope that if one person sees a photo of them together and says: “I feel free to say this is who I am,” then it’s all worth it…

  via Getty Images

Since then, trolls have made transphobic comments about her daughter, Ruby.

And obviously, the doting mom couldn’t help but clap back through a string of tweets…

  via Getty Images

According to reports, Curtis responded to a troll who left an unnecessarily transphobic comment on a photo that Ruby posted on her Twitter account, which featured her, her mother, father, and sister Annie.

Ruby captioned the photo: “This is a damn good picture of me.”

Many of the replies were kind and supportive.

“So true, you are adorable! I love the dress,” one person wrote.

While another penned: “You look so comfortable.”

A third said: “You look so pretty.”

Unfortunately, a couple of keyboard warriors weighed in to make comments about Ruby’s gender identity.

One troll wrote: “Dress however you like. You’re still a man. Stay out of women’s single-s*x public spaces.”

While in another tweet, they reiterated: “You’re still a man.”

And this is the tweet that Curtis responded to…

She wrote: “And you’re still an a**hole!”

Curtis is no stranger to a sassy clapback …

She famously hit headlines earlier this month after appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

  via Getty Images

“I know you guys think I’m here — I’m sure you do — to promote the best movie of 2022,” Curtis joked, referring to Everything Everywhere All At Once.

She added: “Which as you know, may not just be the best movie of 2022, but the best movie of a generation.”

  via Getty

“Of course, with the best performances,” Curtis continued.

“And I’m sure you’re thinking I’m here to promote the fact that I won a SAG Award this weekend and that I was nominated for an Oscar after being in the business since I was 19 — I’m now 64, do the f**king math — but I’m not here to promote that.”

  via Getty Images

She then made her joke about Tom Cruise.

Cruise has been repeatedly labeled the saviour of cinema after the latest Top Gun movie grossed over $1.4 billion.

  via Getty Images

“I’m not here to talk about the fact that my movies have made $2.5 billion in the box office and that Tom Cruise isn’t the only one who saved show business,” Curtis joked.

“I’m here because you’re a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful human being. You’re a great f*****g host and we’re going to miss you,” she finished.

And this weekend, Curtis took home the coveted Best Supporting Actress Oscar.

However, some people believe another nominee was more deserving…

Angela Bassett’s reaction to her loss has the internet feeling emotional!

“Angela Bassett’s reaction to Jamie Lee Curtis’ name being called…you can tell how much that Oscar would have meant to her. she is, was, and always will be incredible. I better see her on that stage SOON,” one fan wrote.

“Jamie Lee Curtis??? Over Angela Bassett???? Really??” asked another.

But one actor who showed the ultimate support for Angela Bassett was Michael B Jordan!
