The news that you’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived after a 7-year wait.
A Dexter reboot is officially happening…
And fans couldn’t be more excited!
The first season of Dexter launched in 2006 on ShowTime and from the get-go, viewers were hooked.
But he moonlights as a blood-thirsty serial killer who channels his urges on only those who “deserve to die.”
Dexter targets people such as killers, pedophiles, and those who have caused great harm in their life.
Well, because he works for the homicide department, Dexter is very precise at cleaning up after himself in order to not leave a single trace of the murder.
Also, his killing “ritual” certainly isn’t for the faint-hearted.
But not to worry, you won’t find any spoilers in this article!
Including Jennifer Carpenter, who played Dexter’s potty-mouthed detective sister.
And John Lithgow’s performance as the Trinity Killer in season 4 was simply superb.
And with so many twists and turns along the way, fans were absolutely devastated with the ending of season 8.
Was this the final end of Dexter?
Well, that’s what we’ve all been thinking for the last 7 years!
Because it has just been announced that a 10-part limited series of Dexter has been the green light for production!
Dexter fans are unbelievably excited…
And many are hoping to get the ending that “they deserve” following from season 8’s disappointing finale.
So clearly, someone has come up with an ingenious plot that will keep audiences guessing!
In an interview with the Daily Beast, the actor said, “Every time I’m asked about [another season of Dexter]. I say, ‘Never say never’. The next thing I know there’s an announcement on the internet saying, ‘He’s going to do it again’.”
“He seems to be in this self-imposed exile, he certainly didn’t ride off into the sunset… It left a gnarly knot in some viewers’ stomachs. I stand by how that 8th season ended.”
And we’re safe in saying that we can’t wait!
