The segment, filmed live at Colorado’s US Air Force Academy, featured inspirational stories from veterans. During the show, Strahan told cadets, “You are loyalty, you are bravery, you are courage. Every one of you has a hero inside you.”

Strahan had an emotional connection to the segment, as his father Gene Strahan served in the military as an Army Major. The TV personality moved to Germany at 9 years old when his dad was stationed there.
