As the election approaches, all eyes are firmly on the nominees in the race to dethrone Donald Trump. The real question is: Will that even be possible? At the rate, this is going to be a long and painful journey.

However, news just broke that Michael Bloomberg has thrown in the towel.

The recent announcement didn’t come as much of a shock as it should have after his overwhelming defeat on Super Tuesday.

After Joe Biden won South Carolina by a substantial number of votes, Bloomberg was put under a lot of pressure to throw in the towel.

However, he wasn’t going down without a final comment.

He said in a statement: “I’m a believer in using data to inform decisions. After yesterday’s results, the delegate math has become virtually impossible – and a viable path to the nomination no longer exists.”

“I’ve always believed that defeating Donald Trump starts with uniting behind the candidate with the best shot to do it. After yesterday’s vote, it is clear that candidate is my friend and a great American, Joe Biden.”

Bloomberg’s influence saw him raise his own poll margins by a significant amount on Tuesday after campaigning aggressively for the past couple of months.

It was revealed that the former Mayor of New York had spent approximately 500 million dollars on his advertising campaign. And yes, that was all his money as he refused to take donations from organizations and other billionaires.

He depended highly on the fact that he was a good manager who wasn’t intimidated by Trump’s reign of terror.

Despite doing so much better in his second debate, Democrat voters just didn’t feel as though he was the best candidate for the job, as Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden gained more momentum in their pitches.

He said that he would continue pouring money into the campaign of whoever the Democratic nominee is. However, he did mention that if Bernie Sanders didn’t want his support, he would be inclined to refuse his offer. Another one bites the dust on the road to becoming the President of the United States.
