With a relationship that spanned across almost a decade, the pair have been in and out of each other's lives for a long time.

And, when they finally tied the knot in December 2018... People thought that it would mark an end to their constant breakups.

How wrong they were... Only 7 months after getting married, the couple announced that they were calling it quits... Again.

Miley moved on pretty quickly...

Miley's brief romance with Kaitlynn Carter stole our hearts for approximately twelve minutes before things fizzled out.

And Miley seems to have found someone else to fill that little void.

Video footage was released of Miley having a cozy lunch with Cody Simpson.

You remember Cody, right? He was basically like the Australian Justin Bieber back in 2009, making that lovey-dovey kind of music with lines that only turned into lies as we grew up. Love is not as cute as Simpson made it out to be.

But, before that, they were caught lip-locking while on a trip to the grocery store.

Not quite the romantic gossip we wanted, but it's adorable nonetheless. An E!News insider revealed the information on Thursday after seeing the pair for a "brief moment."

Cody and Miley have been friends for years now...

So, he was there supporting Cyrus through all of her relationship ups and downs, and it seems as if the two have finally found some comfort in each other.

Some people have even brought up the fact that 4 years ago, the 2 went out on a couple of dates...

And they seem to have rekindled that old flame again.

In fact, it seemed like Miley's admitted that Cody is actually her boyfriend.

Sure, this came as a shock, but if Miley's happy, we're happy.

The two seem pretty loved up.

Miley revealed that Cody is her "BF" on her Instagram stories and, while this had the internet reeling, a lot of people had their minds on the "hospy" part of the caption instead...

Fans were worried at the sight of the star in the hospital.

Miley has sure had a tough couple of months and after those pics surfaced, Twitter was concerned, to say the least. "It breaks my heart seeing my baby at the hospital. Feel better soon MC," one Twitter-user wrote, while another wrote: "Miley Cyrus in a hospital bed sick gives me anxiety pray for baby girl! Wish her all the best!"

Miley was keeping her fans updated from her hospital bed.

These updates included a picture of Cody rocking up to the hospital with roses and his guitar. Aw!

Yep, you guessed it! Cody serenaded Miley in the hospital - too cute!

Miley is said to have been hospitalized after falling ill with tonsillitis.

The star is set to appear at Gorillapalooza, a charity event set up by Ellen DeGeneres, this weekend and wrote on Instagram: "Send good vibes my way!" "Hoping the Rock star G*DS send me a boost of bad a** and help me kick this s*** to the curb where it belongs! We got gorillas to save!"

She opened up with her new man in an Instagram Live video last year...

Miley and her boyfriend, Cody, hosted a live Q&A with their fans in which she discussed her feelings about her ex as well as giving us relationship advice.

She told us this:

"There are good men out there, guys, don't give up. You don't have to be gay, there are good people with d**ks out there, you've just got to find them. You've got to find a d**k that's not a d**k, you know."

A blatant dig at Liam?

Obviously, we wouldn't expect anything less. She continued, "I always thought I had to be gay because I thought all guys were evil, but it's not true. There are good people out there that just happen to have d**ks. I've only ever met one, and he's on this live." At this point, Cody starts laughing and beaming... Like the cat that got the cream.

The whole thing seemed a bit childish.

Fans are taking this to mean Miley thinks ex-husband Liam is not a good person or is "evil." We don't care what went down with you guys... But don't put your ex on blast on Instagram Live, Miley. It's not cool.

It was certainly a big year for the star...

And to mark the new year (and decade), Miley shared a 10-minute clip to bid farewell to the last ten years, titled "10 years in 10 minutes."

Considering over the past few months, the star has seemingly had no shame in throwing a bit of shade towards her ex-hubby, fans were pretty shocked to see that he was one of the biggest stars of her new year's message.

The vintage-filtered video showcased Miley's highlights from the past decade.

From her Disney channel days to now, no stone was left unturned, and that included her whirlwind relationship with Liam.

The clip came just days after it was reported the pair had come up with a divorce settlement.

During the clip, fans got to be reminded of how the pair met while on the set of The Last Song in 2010 right through to their split last year.

It was an emotional farewell to her ex-hubby.

And it looks like the montage clip was her way of saying goodbye, for good.

And then the latest Miley and Cody news?

Well, it seemed as though BF Cody Simpson had suggested some big news for the pair - of the baby variety...

"'I would like to return back in Australia for sure."

"I miss Australia a lot. I would like to come back more. I will always have a home base in LA, but Australia will always be Number 1," he told The Sunday Telegraph.

"'LA makes a lot of sense for me for work but I will always be an Aussie."

And even more excitingly? When asked whether he was planning on raising a family in Oz, he replied: "Absolutely, yes."

Babies are clearly on the couple's mind.

And since then fans have been speculating on the possibility of a mini Cyrus.

But, Cody responded to the pregnancy rumors. 

Speaking out to deny the rumors, Cody said: "Oh yeah! I've been pregnant for years apparently..."

"You've just got to take [the rumours] in your stride and what I try to do is focus on my work and what's important to me".

"For me, that's my work and my music," Cosmpolitan reported.

But it seems the latest twist in the tale is something we really weren't expecting...
