American actress Mira Sorvino reveals whether a possible sequel of Romy and Michele’s High School reunion is in the works.
Can you believe it’s been 25 years since the release of Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion?
But if reports are believed to be true, fans could expect to see their favorite duo back on the sliver screen!
The movie, which starred Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow in lead roles, told a hilarious story of how two best friends reinvent a 10-year high school reunion…
But that’s not all…
What started as a sitcom initially, which the makers thought “wouldn’t” impress the audience, the movie actually managed to reach number 2 at the American box office…
And with that said the positive reviews attracted more people to watch the movie, and it’s now considered by critics as a “cult classic.”
But this year marks the 25th anniversary of its release, and obviously reporters couldn’t shy away from asking Mira Sorvino about a possible sequel…
Talking to CBS Mornings Sorvino revealed that there were “talks about making another movie,” and she even added that it was getting “serious.”
But nothing is “official,” she was quoted saying.
“I can’t say anything, but we are closer now than we’ve ever been to that being a reality. The wheels are starting to move,” she continued.
“And I am so excited,” concluded the actress.
But, its not the first time the actress has spoken about a possible sequel…
As earlier this year, the Mighty Aphrodite actress revealed her feelings for a possible sequel, she said it would be “really fun” and even wondered “what the besties would be like now” at their age.
