Back in May Jesse Tyler Ferguson announced that he and Justin Mikita were expecting their second child together this year…
Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who is best known for playing the uptight character of Mitchell in Modern Family.

In an Instagram post, on May 27, Ferguson announced the exciting news that his and Justin Mikita’s little family will be expanding.
This amazing news comes just 2 years after they welcomed their first child in July 2020, Beckett Mercer.

Ferguson captioned his Instagram post: “@justinmikita and I have some exciting news, we’re expecting number 2! Our growing family will be a family of four later this fall! We are so excited for Beckett to have a sibling.”
He also used his platform to address some of the important topics affecting everyone in the U.S. right now, “we are heartbroken at the attacks all over the country — from senseless gun violence to state by state attacks on our transgender family and an onslaught of attacks on women’s reproductive health,” he wrote.

He then went on to share what they’re doing to help. “Our non-profit @pronounorg continues to raise funds for the incredible organizations on the ground fighting for LGBTQIA+ equality — which of course includes the fights for reproductive health, sensible gun reform & transgender equality — to name a few.”
Ferguson continued: “We are so excited to have a little one joining our growing family — and so proud to support the choice to do it.”

He ended his post by thanking those that have helped them on their journey to complete their family.
“A special thanks to @drshahinghadir & @scrcivf who has provided us the possibility to expand our family not once, but twice. We wouldn’t be here without you!” Ferguson concluded.
Fans flooded the comments, sharing their congratulations to the happy couple. One user wrote: “Congrats and kudos on the donations. Thank you for using your platform for the right thing to do, the right causes. Ty @justinmikita as well. Can we clone you Jesse? U r such a wonderful man!”

“Congrats on the baby and all the good work you are doing. Love to all of you.” another wrote, while a third echoed: “CONGRATULATIONS!!! Thank you for some happy news that we can all use right now.”
And now, the couple has reportedly welcomed their second son via surrogate on Tuesday.

And they couldn’t be happier!
Ferguson and Mikita thanked their “incredible surrogate”

As well as infertility and reproductive endocrinology specialist Dr. Shahin Ghadir, who runs the Southern California Reproductive Center in Beverly Hills.
According to the Daily Mail, the couple released a joint statement that read: “We are overjoyed to be a family of four.”

And, as per the media outlet, Ferguson dressed his tiny newborn in a white onesie emblazoned with ‘Empires’ — the name of the baseball team featured in his hit Broadway play Take Me Out.
Their announcement post also received supportive comments from Uzo Aduba, Donna Murphy, David Burtka, Amanza Smith, Kerry Butler, Steve Kazee, and Adrienne Warren.
