There's not a day that goes by when parents aren't criticized for at least one thing that someone feels is wrong, most of the time it's down to contrasting parenting techniques...
But among all the parenting taboos out there, the debate as to what age you should stop bathing with your kids still rages on.
And one mom has shocked the internet after revealing what she does with her teen daughter...
No matter what you do, there will always be someone to criticize your parenting techniques.
via: GettyWhether you're a more authoritarian parent, an authoritative parent, or a permissive parent, there will always be someone who doesn't quite agree with how you're bringing up your child.
Like parenting wasn't already stressful enough...
via: GettyAll moms will agree that they are simply trying their best, and the scrutiny of others certainly isn't helping.
And sometimes, moms feel like they just can't win.
via: GettyIf they let their children occasionally share a bed with them, they are labeled as over-protective and needy... But if they make their children sleep in their own beds every night? They are slammed for not being affectionate enough.
Every parent is different...
via: GettyAnd, if the children are happy and healthy, who are we to criticize how they are brought up?
But there are some things that are criticized a little more than others.

It seems like a pretty normal thing to do, right?
@hanzbananzz I think it’s weird af when people sexualize parent/child relationship! Nothing wrong with bathing/showering with your kids!— Kerstin Mitchell (@Kerstin Mitchell)1589647890.0
It gets a little more creepy, doesn't it?
@QueenMo__ I don’t see an issue with showering with my child at 2 but maybe once he turns 3 I’ll stop .— KJ❤️ (@KJ❤️)1580411183.0
The fifty-five-year-old mom says she showers with her nineteen-year-old daughter every day.
via: YoutubeThe new TLC series sMothered, has left viewers baffled after mom Mary and her teen daughter Brittani, from Florida, have opened up about their extremely close relationship...
The pair were seen in the shower together, in a preview clip from the bizarre episode.
via: YoutubeMary admits that they've been doing it for years, saying: "I have been taking showers and helping Brittani since she was five."
Now, 5 is a little more understandable, but where do you draw the line?
via: YoutubeTheir interactions seem far from normal, as she steps into the shower, Mary can be heard telling her daughter to "move it over, baby," before saying: "Ah, that feels so good." Yep, pretty strange...
And if that wasn't weird enough...
via: YoutubeMary then starts to wash the teen, telling her: "You need to tan or something, honey. You're so white."
Although most are totally freaked out by their relationship, Mary couldn't think of a better way to wash.
via: YoutubeAdding: "The best way to start our day is in the shower."
Mary says she doesn't agree with the people who clearly have a problem with their quirky habit.
via: YoutubeShe says: "I love her, and I don't see anything wrong with it. I don't believe I set out to have a relationship this close to Brittani, it's something that was supposed to be."
At least Brittani seems to feel the same.
via: YoutubeAdding: "When my mom does simple things like washing my hair or my body, it makes me feel comforted."
It appears that Brittani feels her mom needs this connection just as much as she does.
via: YoutubeShe joked: "Plus, I'm only 19, I haven't moved away. If that was the case, she would probably die from separation anxiety."
Mary revealed this all started to help Brittani deal with the panic attacks she suffered from as a child.Which they believe were brought on by the hot water.
And it seemed to grow from there...She said: "That's kind of how I started getting in the shower with her, just to comfort her because she would freak out. That grew into an every-other-day thing. When she was smaller, it was every day."
However, Mary's boyfriend Frank feels quite strongly that this needs to change.
via: YoutubeMore specifically, he thinks it's time for Brittani to move out of the house.
Although Mary has assured her daughter that won't be happening any time soon.
via: YoutubeShe said: "It has caused some issues in my relationship, but he's got to accept it. That's how it is. He knows I love him, but I love my daughter more - she's my life."
