Now, we all know that there are some seriously quirky names out there…
Especially when it comes to celebrities and their babies! So, let’s take a quick look at some of the most strange…
Friends star Courteney Cox’s baby sounds delicious!
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin also went for a foody option.
You can’t expect Beyonce to do things by halves, right?
Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz’s kid is so over Brooklyn…
Cardi B totally went for it with her baby name!
Kourtney Kardashian went for a regal theme.
We literally can’t choose the weirdest of Kimye’s baby names.
Kylie Jenner’s kid did give us one of the most iconic memes of the year, though.
George Lucas went for a pretty epic-sounding name.
Toni Braxton paid tribute to everyone’s favorite pants material.
Yep, Usher’s son is also called Usher. Good lord.
Rob Kardashian & Blac Chyna’s baby is certainly dreamier than their current relationship status.
Jason Bateman is clearly a big syrup fan.
Dusty? Are you sure, Adam Levine?
Hey, at least David Duchovny went for something accurate.
Michael Jackson’s very offbeat choice here.
Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s baby name is kind of sadly ironic.
Sam Worthington went more “out of this world” with his choice.
Nicholas Cage paid tribute to his love for Superman by giving his kid Clark Kent’s Kryptonite name.
X Æ A-12.
Elon Musk and Grimes literally made global headlines when they announced their child’s crazy computer-like name last year.
Cameron Diaz isn’t afriad to think outside of the box when it comes to her children’s name, clearly!
We’re not quite sure what Kate Winslet was thinking with this one!
Well, we’ve got to say…
We absolutely love all of those weird and wonderful names, but its easy to see why people don’t take to them very easily.
But now, one woman’s name choice for her unborn twins has stirred up quite the controversy…
Because they’re inspired by Harry Potter.
A Harry Potter-inspired name will never go down well, will it?
The woman, who is expecting her twins in Spring, said that she didn’t get the response she wanted when revealing her names to a friend, and actually accused her of “ruining” her special moment.
The expectant mother’s friend said:
“My friend (let’s call her Nicola) wanted to keep the baby names a secret as everyone knows the sex of the babies and she’s having a scheduled C-section so she wanted some element of surprise. She’s also a massive Harry Potter fan and had hinted about there possibly being a link so I expected a Harry Potter name in there somewhere.”
“Anyway, she decided she was too excited to keep it in any longer and rang to me to ask me if I wanted to know the names they have chosen. It went something like this…”
“Albus Tony and Severus Callum.”
When her friend didn’t react excitedly to the names, the woman allegedly said, “thanks for that, I can tell you hate them. Thanks so much for ruining this moment for me!” before hanging up the phone.
“I have tried to message and call her to apologize and say I do like the names (I don’t, Severus Callum has got to be the most random name I’ve ever heard of) but she keeps ignoring me.”
What do you think of the peculiar name choices?
