A mom has been praised for using the “right way” to switch seats with her fellow plane passengers.

News of one mom refusing to switch seats with a fellow passenger made the internet go crazy just last month.
And now, another mom has blown up TikTok for a similar reason.
“And THAT is how you get people to switch seats,” commented one viewer.
Now, there’s nothing quite as rewarding as parenthood.

It can be tricky to toe the line between responsible and overprotective.
But it’s important to foster independence and trust in your kids, to risk a serious rebellion down the line.
It often all comes down to communication.
And making sure your kids feel they can come to you with their problems will always make things easier.
Respect is another pertinent issue when it comes to parenting.
As a lack of respect is really what most fights between parents and kids come down to.
Patience is also key.
As any parent will tell you, you need the patience of a saint on some days.
The feeling of inadequacy can also bring parents down.

But, let’s be honest — it’s not always possible! Sometimes kids just aren’t in the mood to be obedient.

But you want to treasure the precious, fleeting moments of your child’s early days (and years).
Dealing with fear is another big issue of parenting.
With a world out there that feels vast and frightening, it can be tempting to wrap you child up in cotton wool.
But you need to allow your child to experience life for themselves!
So long as they always know they can rely on you to help them out in times of need!
A lot of good parenting actually relies on relinquishing of control.
Which is, as any parent knows, easier said than done.
But you’ve got this!
The very fact you’re concerned about becoming a better parent means you’re already doing a great job!
But now one mom has shared her recent experience while flying with her family.
Anna Lyn Cook used TikTok to tell the tale.
“When we booked this flight, it wouldn’t let us select our seats for some reason, so our family wasn’t sitting together,” she explained.
“When we got here to the gate, we tried to – we went to the gate and we tried to see if they could move us around, but they couldn’t, so we’re going to ask the person who’s sitting in this seat if they want to switch with me.”
The seat that she needed was between her children and “pretty tight” compared to the one she had been assigned.
Her actual seat had “lots more legroom.”
Cook went on to explain how “you could see in his face” that the man who was supposed to be sat in between the kids wasn’t best pleased with the prospect…
But thankfully, this mom came to the rescue: “And I was like, ‘Hey do you want to switch seats?’ and I showed him, this is my seat, it has more legroom, and he was like ‘Yeah!’. He was so down. So everybody wins!”
Cook captioned the clip: “I would never ask anyone to switch seats unless I could offer them a better option.
“If they didn’t want to, I’d happily [accept] that. Also — we ALWAYS pay extra to select our seats if we have the option. But sometimes things happen and it doesn’t work out. This guy was so nice and it was a win/win.”
One person commented: “This is the perfect example of how to ask to switch seats. Sometimes it’s unavoidable.”
