Well 1 woman’s parenting method means that her child doesn’t have a designated bed time…

With her ten-year-old staying up until 5am in the morning. Yikes.

But, how iss she not too tired for school? You might ask.

She’s never been.

The mom, going by the name TreeeFlower on TikTok raises her child rather unconventionally.

And you might be thinking…why doesn’t she give her child a designated bedtime? Well, a lot of other people were thinking that, too.

But first, let’s see what the mom had to say.

In the video, she lists ways she raises her child that other parents would get mad at.

“No bedtimes or wake up times (sometimes that means going to sleep at 5am and waking up at 4pm), has never been to school, chooses what she wants to learn, and when she wants to learn it, no limits on screen time, no sleepovers, not even with family members, still sleeps in the same bedroom, is encouraged to be opinionated, and speak her mind,” the list reads.

And people shared their opinions on the matter.

And in another video, the mom compares prison to school…

Listing all the ways in which they’re alike, including; dress code, authoritarianism, negative reinforcement, loss of individual autonomy, and scheduled eating times.

And this is the reason her ten-year-old has never been to school.

But, when someone asked if the mom would let her daughter go to school if she wanted to, she said yes.

“All she needs to do is ask,” she wrote in another video.

And, although the mom doesn’t want to enforce a strict routine on her child, many studies oppose this method.

Showing that a bedtime routine actually enhances the child’s development, BMC Public Health stated that: “Studies have highlighted the importance of bedtime routines in developing a healthy attitude towards learning, reading and ultimately school.”

But, even with all that…

The mom is still content in raising her child the way she’s doing it, just wanting her to be happy, and seeing her as an equal.

What do you think?
