A mom was cruelly shamed for sharing her money-savvy meal with fellow Facebook users, and hundreds came to her defence...

There's nothing quite as rewarding as motherhood...

The love between you and your child is something unlike any other feeling on earth… It’s a pretty magical thing.

But that's not to say it's easy...

Being a mom is basically the hardest job on earth – and the pressure to be a perfect parent can make life even more stressful.

And even if you try to stay relaxed...

There are some aspects of motherhood are just eternally frustrating. Hey, no one said being a mom was always going to be great fun, right?

There are many things that make parenthood irritating...

But there’s one thing pretty much every mom out there can relate to, which is feeling like you're not giving your kids the best.

And as the pandemic continues to affect jobs...

Everyone is having to be pretty savvy with their money.

We've all been struggling this year...

And financially more than ever.

When you've got a family to feed...

Things get a lot more stressful.

Just putting food on the table has been a battle for some families...

So surely the fact that children being fed is the most important thing.

Sadly, People have been quick to judge this mom and her food choices.

For not being "nutritionally balanced."

Many parents are coming up with their own ways to save money...

Ensuring that their children are fed throughout the pandemic.

However, one mom found herself being cruelly shamed on Facebook...

After she shared her bargain £1 ($1.30) meal idea to Facebook

The woman posted a picture of a meal she had prepared for her children aged 8 and fourteen...

On to the "Feeding a Family on £1 a day" Facebook page.

In what seemed to be an attempt to show solidarity to fellow moms...

Who struggle to get their kids to eat vegetables.

She wrote...

"Kids tea they don't always need veg to be healthy portions for a 14 and 8-year-old."

But the mom was shot down by those who couldn't wait to ridicule her choice of food.

One said: "All I see is carb overload." Another said: "Children don’t need veg every sitting but that’s not a healthy balanced meal." Another said meals like this one were the reason people need educating on nutrition.

They continued...

"It's comfort food it isn't healthy, potato is a root vegetable that does not count as one of the five. There is nothing wrong with it but it isn't a healthy dinner. Two out of three items on the plate are processed food (if mash is homemade if Smash then 3/3). "It's facts and it just shows how much food/nutrition education is still needed in UK."

However, the post did have supporters...

And many rushed to the mom's aid.

They also understood the situation she was in...

One person said: "Surely with all that's happened this year with Covid and job losses the main point is the children are being fed. "Why do people care what other parents are feeding their children, it has absolutely no impact on your life or day whatsoever." Another said: "Full tummies is all that matters. Not everyone can afford to have balanced meals every single time. Sometimes people just need to fill up their little peoples tummies. Be kind."

Facebook users everywhere came to back the mom up...

"Honestly some of the judgemental people on here need to give their heads a wobble!! Two children have received a hot meal and will go to bed with full tummies!! I see nothing wrong in that."
