Hello. My name is Allison and I am an Amazon Addict. I’m not looking for help with that, although I’m sure my husband might appreciate it if I did. Instead, I’m here to share my absolute favorite things I’ve purchased from my absolute favorite store. It was somewhat difficult to narrow down the list, since I buy almost everything – from my kids’ shoes to my clothes and make-up to household furnishings and essentials – from the online retail giant. But, I managed. Here are my favorite things that I have purchased from Amazon.
My Number One Favorite Thing Ever is My Ember Temperature Control Ceramic Mug
This is a fancy (and expensive but totally worth it) mug and it is the best thing I’ve ever owned. You know how as you drink a cup of coffee you anticipate the colder and colder temperature, and how you take that last sip knowing it will be tepid and unpleasant? Well, the Ember Mug changes all of that. Your last sip of coffee is just as hot as your first and it will blow your mind every day for at least a month while you get used to this new, glorious life you lead.
If you’re in the market for a self-heating mug, but don’t want to drop Ember-bucks, check out this highly-rated alternative here!
This Microplush Heated Throw Puts All Other Throw Blankets to Shame
I received this as a Christmas gift a few years ago, and it has since become my go-to when I need a gift for someone. The best way to describe how awesome it is to sit under this Heated Throw is this: think of having a warm, soft, cuddly cat on your lap on a cold winter’s day, but this cat is big enough to cover all of you, but without any of the cat downsides. OK, it’s really not like being smothered by a giant cat, but it’s very warm and snuggly.
If You’ve Been Looking For a Truly Leakproof, One Handed, Easy to Drink From Water Bottle, Your Search Ends Here With the Best Sports Water Bottle
If my life was ever going to be boiled down into one epic quest, it would be a quest for a leak proof water bottle. I don’t know why this is so hard, but I’ve spent a small fortune on disappointing bottles until I found these water bottles. They fit nicely in a car’s cupholders, and on a bike, and in the side pockets of my kids’ backpacks. And so long as you remember to flip the little lock, which is easily managed with one hand, they will not leak at all.
I Got The Original Butter Bell Crock as a Gift For My Husband, Our Resident Toast Eater
I never fully appreciated the problem of hard to spread butter, but it was a frustration my husband faced on the regular. Even as a seldom toast eater, it is not an overstatement to say that the Butter Bell Crock is a life changer. Soft, spreadable butter is one of this world’s true and pure pleasures. And you deserve it.
I Was Truly Surprised by How Much I Love My Kindle Oasis E-reader
Before this, I had (and loved) a Kindle Paperwhite. I used it daily and it always made me happy. And then my husband gave me the Kindle Oasis. I didn’t think I needed the upgrade. And then I used it. I never noticed my Paperwhite being heavy or awkward to hold, until the amazingly light and comfortable Oasis was in my hands. If you are or know an avid reader, this is the e-reader to get.
This Deep Cleansing Oil Washes Off Every Trace of Make Up and Sunscreen Without Irritating My Sensitive Skin
I’m particular when it comes to products I use on my face. My skin can get oily and dry and I have rosacea that can easily flare up with one wrong move. This Deep Cleansing Oil is applied to dry skin, and then rinses away easily with a few splashes of warm water. Any weirdness about applying oil directly to your face is quickly replaced with joy at the clean, clear skin you’ll have.
These Compression Capri Leggings Are the Most Non-See-Through Leggings I’ve Ever Had
As a mom who works from home, I’m pretty much an expert on leggings. Do I have many pairs from different brands? Yes. Do I wear them all? Nope. Instead, I bought multiple pairs of these Compression Capri Leggings because they’re the most comfortable for lounging or working out, and they are completely not see through. Go ahead and bend over in front of your mirror – these leggings stay completely opaque.
I Was Totally Surprised By How Much I Like This Anti-Frizz Microfiber Hair Towel
I bought this microfiber hair towel mostly for the button. I wanted something that would stay easily and securely in place, rather than using my giant, cumbersome, and completely not secure regular towel as a hair wrap. What I didn’t expect was how much this improved my hair. It really does make it less frizzy and more curly. I don’t know how or why, and I don’t care. I love this thing.
I Originally Bought This Set of 4 Hanging Frames Several Years Ago as Part of A Christmas Gift For My Mother in Law
Since then, I have purchased a set of these frames for myself every year before Christmas. I fill them photos of my kids from the past year, and they hang on our tree along with all the other ornaments. I now have this lovely, sentimental collection of little photos from each year, and it’s something I can enjoy and distract myself with while trying not to micromanage our annual tradition of the kids hanging all of the ornaments in one cluster while ignoring the rest of the tree entirely.
This Eye Cream That Can Help Reduce Puffiness
The worst part of my morning is waking up with puffy eyes — but conversely, the best part is getting rid of them with this soothing eye cream. Not only does it help get rid of puffiness, but the tri-peptide blend also works to help firm up wrinkled skin. Dab it gently underneath your eyes, and its matte finish means you won’t have to walk around looking glossy.
Living Proof Dry Shampoo is a Little Pricier Than its Competitors, But It’s Worth it
I had tried a few different dry shampoos and I hated how they left my hair. I didn’t understand what all the fuss over dry shampoo was all about. Then I found Living Proof Dry Shampoo and now I get it! My hair doesn’t feel sticky or dirtier with this; it actually feels clean. And looks clean!
The Anova Sous Vide Precision Cooker is a Complete Game Changer When it Comes to Cooking Meats
There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to Sous Vide cooking, but once you get the hang of it, nothing will ever be the same. Never again will I serve up dry, over cooked chicken. Nor will I ever compulsively check it for doneness. Instead, my chicken is always tender and safely cooked to the perfect temperature, and I don’t even have to be home to be cooking it.
This Moisturizer Specifically Made For Dry Skin
Thirsty skin is no match for this bio-complex moisturizer! The blend of squalane, hyaluronic acid, and glycerin gives it a silky feeling as it glides onto your skin, locking in moisture for hours — and a little even goes a long way. Plus, it’s made without any parabens, fragrances, or sulfates.
You Will Be Shocked the First Time You Use the Furminator deShedding Tool for Dogs
Whatever you do, don’t brush your dog with the Furminator inside your house. Within minutes you will have huge piles of dog hair, more than enough to build a new dog. This is unlike any other brush. I love it for the fact that it shocks me every single time. And my dog loves it. And all the birds and woodland creatures in a five mile radius of my house probably love it too as their nests are likely 40% my dog’s fur because this thing unleashes a serious amount of fur into the wind and it must make great insulation. They make Furminators for cats too.
I Now Have Several of These Ceramic Non-Stick Frypans and I Use Them Daily
Unlike other versions of non-stick cookware, these ceramic pans hold up well over time, stay truly non-stick, and still manage to brown foods nicely. I have these in several sizes, and some ceramic pots as well, but I especially love the large covered pan. My favorite dinners to make are the one-pot variety and this pan is perfect for that.
I Use Aroma Naturals Vitamin K Moisturizing Cream as a Night Cream in the Summer, and a Daily Moisturizer in the Winter
I first stumbled across this Vitamin K Moisturizing Cream after my dermatologist recommended an extremely expensive vitamin K cream. Instead, this affordable cream did the trick. It’s moisturizing enough for me as a night cream in the summer, when my skin tends to need a little less, and it’s perfect as a daily moisturizer under my makeup in the winter when my skin tends to be drier.
And Now For Something Completely Different. My Favorite Recent Find is This 1-Person Inflatable Kayak
My husband and I have wanted kayaks for years. But they’re big and expensive, and we’d have to invest in a car rack, and a garage rack, and the whole thing seemed like too much of an investment for something we’d only use a few times per year. Then, this summer, we found these 1-Person Inflatable Kayaks. THESE ARE AWESOME. They inflate easily and in no time. They can easily be used as single kayaks. And the best part is that when we’re done, it takes about 5-10 minutes to deflate them and fold them away into their carrying bags to easily fit into our car. Every time we’ve taken them out people have approached us to ask where they can buy them. I’m starting to think I should be sponsored by Intex.
If You Have a Body, You Should Also Have a High-Density Round Foam Roller
Nothing attacks sore muscles as thoroughly, and sometimes painfully, as a good foam roller. But even if you’re not into that hurts-so-good type of self-torture, rolling out your back is the best feeling in the world.
Gochujang Korean Hot Pepper Paste is the Perfect Mix of Hot, Sweet, and Tangy
My favorite hot sauce isn’t hot sauce at all. I was introduced to Gochujang Korean Hot Pepper Paste by a Korean friend years ago and it has since become a staple in my fridge. It makes everything better.
My Living Room Has Four Sets of These Window Curtain Panels and I Love Them
Window treatments can be crazy expensive! I was determined to find curtains I loved without going broke. I bought and returned several sets from Amazon in my hunt for the perfect curtains, and then I found these window panels. They finish my room beautifully and and look much more expensive than they are.
When it Comes to Electric Griddles, Bigger is Better and the Big Cool-Touch Electric Griddle is Bigger
This thing is awesome. You can easily cook an entire package of bacon, an entire batch of pancakes, or enough grilled cheeses to feed a herd of hungry school children. Even if you already have a griddle, you might want to trade up for the Big Cool-Touch Electric Griddle because bigger is definitely better.
I’ve Tried Many Different Brands and Types of Reusable Baggie, and Found That Bumkins Reusable Snack Bags are the Best
With two school-aged kids, I shudder to think of the number of disposable plastic bags I would have used if I hadn’t discovered Bumkins Reusable Snack Bags. These come in sandwich size, and a smaller snack size and I use both every day when packing my kids lunches. Unlike other brands, these close with zippers instead of velcro, which gets gross, and they are thin nylon, so they wash easily and dry quickly.
These Hair Coils Never Pull, Tangle, or Get Stuck no Matter How Messy Your Messy Bun is
Awhile back I saw a curly hair life-hack video that showed a woman twisting her hair up into a tight, high bun, and wrapping it with one of these Hair Coils before going to bed. In the morning, instead of bent, crushed, messy, horrible curls, her little bun unravelled into neat ringlets and waves. I immediately bought the hair ties and my morning hair is 1000x better than it ever was before.
Extend Your Outdoor Life With a Patio Heater
This one was a gift I got for my husband that I’m particularly proud of. We live in a climate that makes sitting out on the back deck uncomfortable most of the year. But this Patio Heater is a game changer! We can comfortably eat outside well into the autumn now.
This Coconut Oil Cream is the Perfect Body Lotion and it Smells Amazing
I love this little tub of Coconut Oil Cream. I use it daily and my eczema-prone daughter also uses it to keep dry, itchy skin at bay. It doesn’t have a strong, lingering, perfume-y smell and it will leave your skin baby soft.
I Use These Reusable Grocery Bags For So Much More Than Groceries
It’s a beach bag, an overnight bag, a shopping bag, a trick or treating bag, a library bag, a boots, hat, and gloves bag, and a dog going to the dog sitter bag. These Reusable Grocery Bags weigh nothing, fold up into a tiny square, hold a ton, are machine washable, and are unreasonably strong.
If You Are Ever Involved in Brushing a Child’s Hair, You’ll Want to Have Some of This Detangler Spray on Hand
Children are messy, feral creatures and the long-haired variety are especially difficult to manage. Fact: to a child, hair brushing is as painful as 1,000 bee stings AND 1,000 paper cuts AND 1,000 lemons on those paper cuts.* This Detangler Spray smells great and makes hair brushing a drama-free event.
*This is not a real fact.
This Charging Station Dock Can Bring Peace and Harmony to Your Family
Have you ever had a my-phone-is-more-dead-than-yours argument with someone you love? If so, then I suggest buying one of these Charging Station Docks. It tames the mess, and eliminates the competition for chargers.
I Know my Sheets are Softer Than Your Sheets Because Mine are These Brushed Microfiber Sheets
First of all, these Brushed Microfiber Sheets are crazy inexpensive. King sized sheets for under $30? Yes! But they are also ridiculously soft. Just buy them. Trust me.
I’m a Huge Fan of Tons of Veggies on the Grill and This Large Grilling Basket Makes it so Much Easier
In our house I’m in charge of all the prep work, while my husband mans the grill. This means that for years I’d cut up a ton of vegetables and then he’d be stuck with trying to keep them from falling between the grates. And then I discovered this grilling basket. It holds all the veggies I prepare, and makes it so much easier on my husband.
This Ergonomic Vertical Mouse Was a Recent Discovery and it Has Reduced my Hand, Wrist, and Arm Pain Considerably
I spend a lot of time at my computer. I made the switch to an ergonomic keyboard years ago, making my computer nearly impossible for anyone else to use (winning!). Even with my wrist guard on, an hour or two of computer work would leave my mouse hand and arm tingly and in pain. Then a couple of months ago I bought this Ergonomic Vertical Mouse. It immediately made a dramatic difference. I still wear my wrist brace and do my stretches, but there really is no pain and no tingling. And my computer is now completely impossible for anyone else to use.
Using These Dirt Cheap Drain Snakes Will Both Disgust And Fascinate You
When you first snake your drain, you might gag. Then you’re gonna wonder where all that hair came from. Then you’re gonna be so happy you spent $5 instead of calling in a plumber. Then you still might gag. Then you’ll move right on to the next drain.
These Harperton Nail Clippers Will Be The Last Ones You Ever Buy
If you haven’t tried a REAL pair of nail clippers, trust me, you need to. It’s a completely different (and far superior) experience from those $2 clippers.

Thousands of reviewers tout the powers of these bags of activated charcoal, specifically highlighting their abilities to freshen truly nasty old shoes, or even drink up the odorrific remnants of spoiled milk inside a minivan.

These brilliant “bed bands” eliminate that problem so you can finally catch some Z’s.
This $8 Invention Adds An Invaluable Footrest To Your Shower
Much like cupholders, I don’t understand why more everyday things don’t have built-in footrests.
These Wildly Popular Baking Mats Will Keep You From Scrubbing Stuck-On Messes
Use these handy silicone liners to create a nonstick layer on your baking sheets. They’re great for cookies, candies, cakes, biscuits — anything you want to bake in the oven. And they’re dishwasher-safe!

There is literally decades of dust living in the crevices of my windows right now, awaiting attack by the Trycooling Brush.

These Stainless Steel Reusable Drinking Straws That Will Help You Save the Environment

People Swear By This Wildly Popular Acupressure Mat
