We're all hoping for a fresh and happier start in 2021.

Well, it seems that this hope is far from reality...

As some of the notorious Baba Vanga's predictions for 2021 have come to light.

And believe me when I say this...

They're not for the faint-hearted! Read on to find out what's in store for us...

Now, this is Baba Vanga.

Vangelia Pandeva Dimitrova was born in 1911, and the Bulgarian woman became globally famous after predicting major events throughout the twentieth century.

It all started when she lost her sight...

When she was a teen, Vanga found herself in the midst of a storm in which she suffered major injuries including the loss of her sight.

However, it was said that she still managed to "see..."

The term was used to describe her visions of the future as well as the present. There wasn't any knowledge that she could see past events.

It was said that she managed to locate her father's sheep when they went missing, despite being unable to see.

She instantly knew where they were, even though everyone else had gone out to search for them and found no such luck.

From then on, she became known as a healer.

Rather than referring to her as a psychic or a seer, the people of her homeland said that she was a "healer" who helped thousands of people.

So, which predictions actually came true?

Vanga died in 1996 at the age of eighty-five, but she left a bunch of predictions that she "saw" were going to come true in this century.

This is the point where things get a little creepy...

So read with caution, guys.

She predicted who was going to be the forty-fourth president of the United States.

Vanga predicted that the forty-forth president would be an African American man, and she was right because Barack Obama came into power as just that.

However, she mentioned that he would be the last-ever president...

But as we all know, he wasn't. The forty-fifth president of the United States was none other than business tycoon, Donald Trump.

And then there was the Chernobyl Disaster.

In the 2011 book based on Vanga, called The Weiser Field Guide to the Paranormal, it is written that she warned those around her about the nuclear disaster.

She also predicted the Boxing Day Tsunami.

The 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami occurred in Indonesia and was said to be one of the worst in history.

It reached a magnitude of 9.3 MW...

The cause behind it was a megathrust under the sea that devasted the country and there was approximately $15 billion worth of damage ultimately caused.

And perhaps one of the most famous predicted events?

Just before she died, the "healer" mentioned that the tragic events of 9/11 would shake the world... and that it did.

These are the words she had to say:

"Horror, horror! The American brethren (believed to be a reference to the 2 "brother" towers) will fall after being attacked by the steel birds (thought to be the 2 planes). The wolves will be howling in a bush (believed to be a reference to the US president in power, George Bush) and innocent blood will gush."

As well as all this, she also predicted these events...

Stalin's death, the break-up of the Soviet Union, and the rise of ISIS. Big yikes.

It doesn't get much more accurate than that, does it?

Well, if you thought that was terrifying, I can assure you, it just gets worse! Because she also predicted the horrors of this terrible year - 2020.

Although she failed to mention a global pandemic, she had some eerie words about President Trump.

She mentioned that the 2020 U.S President, who we all know is currently Trump, will fall ill with a mysterious illness that will leave him deaf. Although Trump didn't lose his hearing, he did test positive for COVID-19 which could count as a mysterious illness... right?

Vanga then claimed 2020 would be a big year for China.

She said that China would become one of the biggest economies and rise to global power. Well, it was the first country to tackle the coronavirus! But it was also the country that started it all...

As well as this, she gave some more predictions...

Including a European collapse after a major change. Keep in mind that the United Kingdom is currently undergoing Brexit, which could be the "change" she is referring to.

Well, now that 2020 is thankfully coming to an end...

It's time to start looking towards the future! But before you get too excited, Baba Vanga made some grave predictions about what to expect in the year 2021.

Just when we thought things couldn't get any worse, right?

But it's important to note that many of Vanga's predictions didn't actually come true, so please try not to think it's the end of the world!

So, what exactly did she say would happen in 2021?

Firstly, right before her death, she predicted that 2021 "will bring an invasion of the Muslim extremists" over Europe and that the continent will face chemical attacks from the "Muslim invaders," according to yearlyhoroscope.org.

During the following period, the European continent could also reach "the end of its existence."

More specifically, the prophet known as Nostradamus from the Balkans told the people close to her, "[The extremists] will use an arsenal of chemical weapons against Europeans." Scary stuff, right?

For 2021, she also predicted the economic fall of Europe...

Which wouldn't come as a shock following the brutal impacts of the global pandemic.

And then...

Vanga stated that Vladimir Putin would be assassinated in 2021. She believed that the threat for the Kremlin leader could come from within his country.

And then, just to make things even worse...

The clairvoyant said that "the world will suffer from a lot of cataclysms and great disasters. The consciousness of people will change. Difficult times will come. People will be divided by their faith."

She then reportedly said:

"We are witnessing devastating events that will change the fate and destiny of humanity."

China was then brought up again as one of her major predictions.

"A strong dragon will seize humanity. The 3 giants will unite. Some people will have red money. I see the numbers 100, 5, and many zeros," predicted Vanga. The interpreters presume that the "dragon" is China, which became a superpower. The 3 giants might be Russia, India, and China, and regarding the money, the 100 Yuan and the 5000 ruble notes have a red color.

But thankfully, not all of Vanga's for 2021 and beyond are doom and gloom!

In the near future, "Trains will 'fly' by using sunlight. The petrol production will stop, and the Earth will rest."

And at the beginning of the twenty-first century...

Humanity will supposedly get rid of cancer, which is what we all desperately want and need right now.

So, it seems as if we're in for another potentially turbulent year...

But all we can do is just wait and see, and hope that some of Vanga's more sinister predictions won't actually happen!
