Because today in 2021, more and more people are now identifying as "non-binary".Some people claim that they don't quite fit into the categories of "man" or "woman," or “male" or “female", thus identifying as "non-binary."
But what exactly does the term "non-binary" mean?
via: Shutterstock"Non-binary" is the term used by people who don't identify as either male or female.
Just to break it down for you...
via: ShutterstockThe idea that there are only 2 genders is sometimes called a "gender binary," because binary means "having 2 parts." Therefore, people use "non-binary" to describe genders that don’t fall into one of these 2 categories, male or female.
And that isn't all.
They believe that there are over a hundred genders in which a person can identify...
And while most people can accept this idea...
Well, this is something that will no longer be a worry in Congress as they are now eliminating the use of gendered terms.

This means we would see a change in gendered terms being used.

They will be replaced with non-gendered terms like "parent."
