'Nanny McPhee' Star Dies Aged 25 | 22 Words

The tragic news has just come in that Raphael Coleman, who was best known for starring in Nanny McPhee, has passed away.

The young actor was only twenty-five-years-old and his death has come as a very sudden shock.

"As a child, he was old-wise, extremely literate and loved to lecture adults with his always astonishing knowledge," he wrote on Facebook. "He was a child actor in the popular British comedy Nanny McPhee, where he played himself with great talent, a little redhead boy who was always mixing explosive chemical ingredients."

But a career in acting wasn't on Raphael's mind...

He attended the University of Manchester and graduated with a degree in zoology.

He also traveled the world in between studies...

He became a biologist, and he spent a year in Costa Rica's jungle and 6 months in Indonesia, where he qualified as a professional diver.

It was after his world travels when he decided he wanted to pursue a career in science...

And this led him to join the global climate organization, Extinction Rebellion.

Raphael was passionate about his work with Extinction Rebellion...

According to Raphael's mom, Liz Jensen, "he fought hard for the cause, especially for Indigenous rights."

Of his time with Extinction Rebellion, his stepdad said, "Raph was one of the first and most active members. Under the name Iggy Fox, he controlled the group's use of social media, spoke at demonstrations, and was arrested again and again."

But tragedy struck on Friday the 6th of February...

His mom took to Twitter to announce the devastating news of her son's death, writing, "Rest in peace my beloved son Raphael Coleman, aka Iggy Fox. He died doing what he loved, working for the noblest cause of all. His family could not be prouder. Let’s celebrate all he achieved in his short life and cherish his legacy."

His cause of death is currently unknown...

But after his family confirmed he had no health problems, it is believed he died after collapsing while running.

And many have been urging fans to remember Raphael not just for his role in Nanny McPhee, but for his dedicated and passionate work for our planet.
