Elon Musk became the center of a disaster at the recent Tesla demonstration and he was all anybody could talk about.

After this particular little mishap resulting in Musk experiencing a huge $768 million drop in his net worth, he had to think fast.

The new Tesla Roadster has been showcased, but its fast acceleration looks pretty ridiculous.

Elon Musk is a very wealthy man.

Being the founder, CEO and Chief Engineering Designer of SpaceX and Tesla, he has an awful lot going for him.

But he had a little bit of an accident last month...

When unveiling Tesla's latest Cyber truck design in November, Musk got, for lack of a better word, a bit cocky.

He claimed that the automobile was unbreakable.

So confident in the shatterproof design, he asked Tesla design chief Franz von Holshausen to throw a ball at the Cybertrucks window.

Maybe he threw it a little hard...

The ball shattered the Cybertrucks supposedly shatterproof glass and, well, made Musk look like a bit of an idiot.

"It worked in rehearsals..."

After the fail during the presentation, Musk tweeted a video made earlier, when they had successfully practiced the stunt.

Inevitably the incident has led to people mocking Tesla.

Musk's presentation seems to have seriously damaged Tesla's reputation.

The general design of the Tesla Cybertruck has raised some eyebrows...

Admittedly, the cyber-esque design does look like something out of an early PC game.

People are mocking Elon directly.

As the founder and CEO of Tesla, Musk is getting a lot of criticism for the bizarre car design.

Not that Musk seems to care...

Frankly, this guy is so rich he can do whatever he very well wants to.

Elon Musk is certainly a man who knows what he's doing...

Musk is a seriously smart guy, and even if we don't like the current Cyber truck design I bet they're the start of a new era in automobile design.

Musk certainly wasn't finished with the Cybertruck...

Tesla has finally unveiled it's highly anticipated Tesla Roadster sports car for the first time at the European Grand Basel motor show.

The design has been highly-anticipated...

The Roadster, an all-electric 4-seater machine that Tesla claims has a top speed exceeding 250mph, was revealed last year, but the firm has now shown it in public for the first time at the Swiss event, although the white model on display appeared to be a design shell.

It is a very fast model...

Tesla says the launch version, first confirmed during the launch event for the new Tesla Semi lorry in California,  will feature 10,000nm of torque (7376lb ft) from 3 motors. It can hit 60mph in 1.9 seconds, half-a-second quicker than the current fastest-accelerating Tesla, the Model S P100D.

He is no stranger to a fast car...

Musk said the successor to Tesla’s first production car, which went off sale 6 years ago, can accelerate from zero to 100mph in 4.2 seconds and complete a quarter-mile sprint in 8.9 seconds.

A video has been released of the new model in action back in 2018...

But there's one thing that a lot of people have noticed about the short clip.

The driver of the car shows off its acceleration...

But as the car speeds off, it resembles something closely to a CGI effect.

The crowd are heard shrieking when the car zooms off...

And it's rather difficult to remember that this car is very much real and that these speedy vehicles will very soon be on our roads.

Despite this video being nearly 2 years old...

The Tesla Roadster is pegged to arrive on roads in 2020, initially priced from $250,000 for the first 1000 cars, which will be sold as Founders Edition models.
