National Football League star Demaryius Thomas, who played as the wide receiver, has sadly died at the age of thirty-three years old.
Demaryius Thomas, thirty-three, was drafted by Denver Broncos in 2010, where he was signed to a 5-year $12.155 million contract.
He was truly an incredible player and teammate, not only becoming a role-model for millions of people, but a friend his team could always rely on.
And according to TMZ, he caught an astounding 724 balls, 9763 yards, and sixty-three touchdowns throughout his football career with the Broncos.
“I’m heartbroken. Demaryius Thomas is my favorite Denver Broncos WR of all-time. You played with heart, passion, strength and a warrior. Cared about every person you encountered. The perfect teammate,” a Twitter user wrote in tribute.
The police tragically found Thomas in his Roswell, Georgia home on Thursday night. They have said that his cause of death is unclear as of yet.
The Roswell police department confirmed his passing in a statement. PD investigators believe that his death stemmed from a medical issue that the football star had.
We cannot imagine what his family and friends are going through right now. He touched so many hearts, and we cannot believe he’s been taken from this world.
So many people have shared their condolences…
Denvor Broncos released a heartmelting Twitter post, too.
“We are devastated and completely heartbroken,” they began in the post.
“Demaryius’ humility, warmth, kindness, and infectious smile will always be remembered by those who knew him and loved him,” they finished in the caption.
In the statement they shared, it read: “Recently retiring as a Bronco, we were very much looking forward to celebrating Demaryius for years to come as 1 of the greatest players in franchise history.
“During 9 seasons in Denver, Demaryius established himself as a dominant, record-settling wide receiver who was an instrumental part of 2 championship runs and our victory in superbowl fifty.
“His legacy as a Bronco extended far beyond the playing field as a caring, generous member of our community. D.T. loved giving back, especially spending time with children, and impacted countless lives through the Broncos boys and girls club, hospital visits, his annual football camp, and many other genuine interactions.
“We have lost an incredible player and a special person in Demaryius Thomas. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the Thomas family and all who are grieving this unimaginable loss,” the statement finished.
The nation is heartbroken with the loss of Demaryius Thomas, who has become a role-model for many. With a heart so huge, he will forever leave an imprint on our world.
Rest in peace Demaryius Thomas, it was not your time.
