It’s safe to say, Nick Cannon’s family tree with all his babies and ‘baby mamas’ is chaos…
But now he’s revealed that he doesn’t pay child support monthly.

Now, Nick Cannon is notorious for a lot of things.
Throughout his career, he’s managed to try out many different stints which have earned him a pretty impressive resume.
From hosting, to acting, to stand-up gigs… the man seems to have done it all.
But there’s something else he’s pretty well known for…
And that’s having a lot of kids.
And the whole thing’s a little complicated.
His love life has certainly been a rollercoaster.
And which partner to better to start off with than the Queen of Pop herself, Mariah Carey.
Cannon’s relationship with Carey was very public, with both of them being extremely loved-up throughout their time together.
They even have twins together, Monroe and Moroccan, aged ten.
But in 2012, the couple called it quits in what Carey described to be a “tough” split…
Wherein both parties spent a lot of time hashing things out with divorce lawyers.
But thankfully, they remained friends in the end.
Cannon quickly moved on, being linked with women such as Jessica White and Brittany Bell.
And the comedian went on to have 2 children with the latter, a son called Golden and a daughter named Powerful Queen.
But this is where things get a little sticky.
It was reported that Cannon was seeing 3 women, after stating he doesn’t believe in monogamy.
“I think I’ll never be able to be with just one woman again,” he said during an episode of the podcast ExpediTIously.
And he stayed true to his word, because during that time, it was reported he was seeing DJ Abby De La Rosa, model Lanisha Cole, and Brittany Bell.
However, he then welcomed a child into the world with partner Alyssa Scott.
Sadly, he and Alyssa suffered a tremendous loss recently…
He announced that their 5-month-old son, Zen, passed away in December, sharing the final moments he spent with him.
He opened up on The Nick Cannon Show, explaining that Zen was suffering from a brain cancer called hydrocephalus…
“I always noticed he had a cough, and so I wanted to check it out,” he explained. “He had this interesting breathing, and by the time he was two months, I noticed he had this nice-sized head too — a Cannon head.
“We didn’t think anything of it. But I wanted to take him to the doctor for his sinus and breathing. We thought it would be routine.”
However, it was a lot worse than they previously thought. Doctors informed the couple that Zen actually had fluid build up in his brain…
And a malignant tumor.
He was immediately taken into surgery to release the pressure in his brain…
Although, in November things took a turn for the worst. “Thanksgiving, we had an interesting turn,” Nick said, tearing up. “And things just sped up. The tumor began to grow a lot faster. And so we knew that time was…”
Nick made it his priority to spend as much time as possible with his son over his last remaining days, saying on his show that they took a trip to the beach, where he held baby Zen for the final time…
“This weekend I made an effort to spend the most quality time with Zen.
“We woke up on Sunday, and I was just… I felt like I wanted to go to the water, close to the ocean. So we got a chance to go to the ocean.”
Nick broke down in tears, adding: “I wanted to make sure I had the sun to rise and hold my son. And… Having the last… holding my son the last time…”
“It was a beautiful setting and to spend that whole day was interesting because even when I was holding my son I was still preparing my day as it normally went – to come back and come here.”
However, when he got in his car to leave, he admits he just had to turn back around and stay with his son a little longer…
“I turned around, and not only did we get to see the sunrise, but we got to see the sunset, too.”
Following his heartbreaking appearance, Nick received questions of why he returned to work so early.
Speaking out on the matter, he said: “A lot of people keep asking me like, ‘Man why are you even at work?’ Especially my family members, ‘Boy you need to go sit down somewhere, you got too many jobs already.”
“Allow yourself to just be yourself.’ And I appreciate that all of that advice and I know it comes from a place of care. But to me, this isn’t work. This is love.”
Adding: “This is therapy for me, this is therapeutic.”
Others also questioned why Nick chose not to treat his son’s cancer with chemotherapy.
Nick opened up about the decision during an interview with People where he explained that they discussed different treatments for Zen, including chemotherapy, but made the decision to not continue any.
Recalling the news that Zen’s tumors were growing, Nick said: “We started asking, ‘Is there a way to prevent this? If not, how long do we have?”
“The conversations quickly turned to, ‘How can we give him the best life for the time that he does have?’ It could be weeks, it could be months, it could be years.”
Nick, who has undergone chemotherapy himself, said they made the decision to focus on keeping Zen “as happy as he could possibly be” as from his own experience of chemotherapy, he knows the “pain” of having chemotherapy and didn’t want his son to “suffer.”
“We could have had that existence where he would’ve had to live in the hospital, hooked up to machines, for the rest of the time,” he said.
“From someone who’s had to deal with chemotherapy before, I know that pain. To see that happen to a 2-month-old, I didn’t want that. I didn’t want him to suffer.”
But things seem to have gotten a little brighter for Nick.
After photos emerged of him at what appears to be his and Bre Tiesi’s baby shower.
As per TMZ, there was a huge gender reveal party in Malibu with guests revealing that they are having a boy using party poppers.
Bre, who has just finalized her divorce from Johnny Manziel, was seen cradling her baby bump next to Nick, while the pair were surrounded by dozens of guests and blue and pink balloons.
When the news emerged, many thought about how Nick’s ex, Alyssa Scott, would be coping with the news so soon after losing a child.
However, Scott took to Instagram to write that she is “at peace” and “centred.”
In her post, which came just hours after Nick announced the news of his 8th child and has since been deleted, Scott thanked “every single person who has messaged or thought of me over the course of these last few months.”
“I always say Zen expanded my heart in ways I never thought possible,” she wrote. “He filled that space with compassion knowing I would need that most.”
“It’s important for me to let you all know… I am centered, I am at peace.”
Cannon has since apologized for his baby announcement in which he acknowledged the loss of his son.
Cannon said he would like to “apologize properly” and “take a moment to listen and reflect” during his show.
According to the Daily Mail, Cannon began his apology by saying that he “would like to take a moment just to be honest and even take a moment to listen and reflect on what I was saying and what’s popping and apologize properly.”
“I wish to always protect and respect the privacy of the mothers of all my children and you know me,” he said the outlet reports. “I just really want to be sincere and whether that’s someone who’s new or someone who’s had my child and I have such a great relationship and great admiration for everyone in my life.”
Cannon said that in his announcement he “failed to do so” because “it was a lot going on.”
“I didn’t know how to explain it, I didn’t know what to say, so I was probably talking too fast and probably misspoke and I know I could do better when dealing with delicate and sensitive discussions.”
He then made a promise to “you,” “the mothers of my children, and his “family that I would do better, continue to be more understanding, caring, compassionate like they often show me, each and every day through these processes.”
Cannon also admitted that he “probably went too much into detail “expressing my feelings and it felt like I was probably making some comparatives or probably discussing when talking about the passing of my son Zen and then also talking about the new child that I am expecting.”
He said he “didn’t have to do that” because they are “two completely separate moments in my life and in life and they both deserve the respect that they are.”
“Grieving is a process, and I’m still grieving, each and every single day, and myself and Alyssa, our family we still deal with that. And I know it seems awkward because people try and do the timing and none of that matters.”
Cannon went on to say that he loves his “son Zen, and I always will” and he is “going to love my new child, and I’m going to love every child from that point on.”
“I’m a responsible human being, I take full responsibility for everything so I must say I sincerely apologize to everyone involved for any extra pain or confusion that I may have caused.”
Months after Cannon announced the news of his 8th child…
He and Bre Tiesi shared adorable photos of their babymoon vacation together.
The model shared clips on her Instagram Story of their beach holiday…
“Celebrating you and the love you were made from,” she wrote on one.
They have finally welcomed their baby into the world.
Tiesi confirmed the news with an Instagram post.
“I did it. An all-natural unmedicated home birth,” she wrote on Monday, July 25. “This was the most humbling / limit-pushing yet awakening and completely empowering experience.
“I can’t thank my team enough for delivering my son safely. This experience has changed me forever and I couldn’t of asked for a more amazing and supportive partner.
“Daddy showed the f up for us… I couldn’t of done it without you. I can’t believe he’s here.”
As well as sharing photos of her birth, she also announced that she has uploaded a vlog of her entire pregnancy to YouTube.
“It’s Real RAW and I hope it helps anyone considering an unmedicated home birth,” she wrote.

And now another is on the way.
Cannon and Brittany Bell took to Instagram to share the news that the latest of the former’s children is on the way.
This comes before Cannon’s 9th baby, who he’s having with Abby De La Rosa, is even born.
After confessing to the world that he loves being a father, Cannon certainly stays true to his word…
As baby no 10 is on the way, let’s take a look at where his journey of parenthood began.
In 2011, his then-wife Mariah Carey welcomed their twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
And Cannon even expressed that though he and Carey divorced, he would always want what’s best for his children.
Then in 2017, the actor announced that Brittany Bell had given birth to his son Golden and later daughter Powerful.
But it didn’t just stop here…
Because in June 2021 Abby De La Rosa shared some more good news and welcomed twin sons, Zillion and Zion.
De La Rosa couldn’t stop gushing at the new arrivals.
“I pray that God give you both the strength to walk brave and boldly in your individual truth just like your Daddy,” the entrepreneur wrote on Instagram in April 2021.
“Your Dad and I will always be here for you both; in complete unison and support. No matter what this world may throw your way, know that forgiveness is key and what is for you — is for YOU! You both are already so loved, and we can’t wait to meet you both,” she wrote.
Reports suggest that Cannon and De La Rosa reconnected and were back together officially in 2020.
However in the same month, US Weekly confirmed that model Alyssa Scott was pregnant with Cannon’s 7th child.
So while Cannon was celebrating Father’s Day, the mom-to-be shared an Instagram story of him cradling her baby bump.
But then something traumatic happened…
In December 2021, Cannon and Scott’s baby boy died at just 5 months old…
According to reports, the baby died of a brain tumor and Cannon said Scott was the “strongest woman I’ve ever seen.”
But there was happy news yet again…
As Cannon made headlines for hosting a baby shower with Bre Tiesi and confirmed on his talk show that his 8th child was on the way. The pair welcomed their little one, a baby boy, in July of this year.
A month later, Cannon announced that he and Brittany Bell were expecting their third child together.
And that concludes Cannon’s family – so far …
But is that the end of Cannon’s family?
Well, he has recently dropped a hint that there could be a new baby on the way!
He tweeted: “EXPECT some big news tomorrow…” followed by a pair of eyes and a baby bottle emoji.
“We already know it’s baby number 5654465445668642906326789,” someone joked in reply.
But Cannon has revealed that he has one fathering regret.
That he never had a baby with ex Christina Milian!
“I remember when I found out she was pregnant,” Cannon told The Shade Room’s Thembi Mawema.
“Are you like, damn?” Mawema said, laughing.
“Yeah, I was like dang, man!” Cannon replied.
“That could have been me,” Mawema concluded.
“It could still happen, one day, who knows!” Mawema said.
“She married now! Or I don’t know what the situation is,” Cannon replied.
And this week, a different interview with Cannon has hit headlines.
He spoke out on the Home Morning Show with presenters Shorty Da Prince, Brittish Williams and Andrew Caldwell about how he doesn’t pay child support.
“I’m not on the government,” he said.
A host joked: “That’s how you know he really got it together!”
“But to your point, to answer it in a very serious way, it ain’t even about a monthly allowance or amount of money, because I don’t give myself that,” Cannon continued.
“What they need, they get. There’s never been something that one of the mothers of my children has asked for and they didn’t receive.”
What do you think of Cannon’ stance?
