But it has been a rollercoaster of emotions for the pair.

The couple became parents for the first time back in January, after Chopra expressed her desire to become a mom a year earlier…

She told Tatler Magazine back in 2020: “It is something that I definitely want to do and I’m hoping that whenever God wills it, at the right, opportune time, it’ll happen.”

And not long after, their baby was born via surrogate.

Their baby daughter, Malti Marie, was born in a southern Californian hospital.

Malti Marie was born twelve weeks early and had to stay in the hospital until she was healthy enough to return home with her parents.

The couple, who tied the knot back in 2018, surprised their fans with news of their expanding family.

They did so with a statement reading:

“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.”

And now, “After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home,” the pair said in a joint statement along with a photo of their daughter.

“On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced,” they wrote on their Instagram page on Mother’s Day.

Both Chopra and Jonas recognized that “every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith” and shared how their journey has made them realize “how precious and perfect every moment is.”

“We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every doctor, nurse, and specialist at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way,” they added.

In concluding their post, they wrote: “Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a bada**. Let’s get it MM! Mommy and Daddy love you.”

The new mom then wrote to her husband: “There is no one I’d rather do this with than you. Thank you for making me a mama @nickjonas I love you.”

Jonas repeated the sentiment in his post, writing to his wife: “Babe, you inspire me in every way, and you are taking to this new role with such ease and steadiness.”

A source told People that Jonas and Chopra are “thrilled” to have their daughter home.

“Their daughter is doing well,” the insider shared. “She is still tiny, but catching up every day. They both just want to hold and snuggle her. They are already great parents.”

And now, Nick Jonas has spoken out about his new role as a dad…
