And he carried these values throughout his presidency...

Obama cut taxes for working families, small businesses, and first-time home buyers, and he stuck to his promise of tackling financial reform, alternative energy, and reinventing education and health care.

Obama became the president of the people...

And gained a strong and loyal fan base as a result of his progressive views on social issues, such as same-sex marriage and gun control.

Oh, and not to mention his beautiful family who immediately became national treasures.

So, quite understandably...

Obama recently decided to open up about racism in America and how he once broke a schoolmate's nose after they used a racial slur against him.


But amazingly so, it's gotten people talking...

And while discussing the issue of race and racism, Obama brought up an incident with a schoolmate who he used to play basketball with.

He explained that they once got into a fight and the unnamed classmate called him a racial slur.

Obama says he doesn't even think his schoolmate knew what the word meant -- just that it was meant to be hurtful.


This is what prompted the former president to "pop him in the face" which ended up breaking his nose while they were in the locker room.

When the classmate asked Obama why he punched him, he simply said to him, "Don't ever call me something like that."
