President Biden's inauguration ceremony has concluded, and all anyone can talk about is the mysterious conversation exchange between former president, Barack Obama, and Lady Gaga shortly after her performance...
Now, it's been one hell of a day for our country.
Joe Biden has officially been sworn in as the forty-sixth President of the United States.
However, it's been an undeniably tense build-up.
Most people argue that Biden's win was a fair one: after 4 long days of vote counting - and plenty of recounting - the Democrat was projected as the forty-sixth President of the United States.
Upon the news of his victory, Biden Tweeted this:
America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country.
— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) November 7, 2020
The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not.
I will keep the faith that you have placed in me. pic.twitter.com/moA9qhmjn8
"America, I'm honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country. The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not. I will keep the faith that you have placed in me."
However, people on the other side of the political spectrum weren't ready to accept his victory so readily.

Trump instantly attacked Biden's win with several accusations of electoral fraud - all of which are yet to be proven or backed up with any evidence.
But his efforts were to little avail.
Because, today, Joe Biden was officially sworn in as the forty-sixth President of the United States.
Biden's swearing-in was an emotional moment for many Americans...

Because it undeniably signalled a whole new era for our country.
His first speech as president struck a chord with viewers, too.

The new president gave a lengthy and emotional speech, where he addressed the deeply divided nation on what the next 4 years will hold under his ruling.
He promised to "write an American story of hope", as well as weighing in on the devastating effects of the coronavirus pandemic and the issue of racial inequality across the country.
He said this:

"Millions of jobs have been lost. Hundreds of thousands of businesses closed. A cry for racial justice, some 400 years in the making, moves us. The dream of justice for all will be deferred no longer. A cry for survival comes from the planet itself, a cry that can't be any more desperate or any more clear now."
He also became the first president in history to condemn white supremacy in his inauguration speech.

"The rise of political extremism, white supremacy, domestic terrorism, that we must confront and we will defeat. To overcome these challenges, to restore the soul and secure the future of America, requires so much more than words. It requires the most elusive of all things in a democracy - unity."
But the moment from his inauguration that everyone is talking about?
Lady Gaga's rendition of the "Star-Spangled Banner," of course!
Obviously, her performance was nothing short of amazing...

Did we really expect anything else?
But, of course, the internet has turned its sights onto a somewhat different aspect of her performance.

Following her performance, Gaga could be seen having an awfully long conversation - masked, of course - with former POTUS, Barack Obama.
Of course, people were very intrigued as to what had been conversed between the pair...
I wanna know what Lady Gaga and Barack Obama talked about for so long 😅

What in the world is Lady Gaga saying to President Obama that's taking so long😳

I would really like to know what Lady Gaga has been saying to Barack Obama for the past 5 full minutes
— Cheyenne Haslett (@cheyennehaslett) January 20, 2021
Clearly, there is some sort of friendship between the unlikely pair...

Just look at that smile.
They were even seen sharing an embrace...
Which only fuelled the speculation further: what exactly had they been talking about?!
Well, some theories have been born.
What I imagine Lady Gaga & Barack Obama’s conversation at Inauguration to be:
— Timothy Shaw (@TimShawAuthor) January 20, 2021
LG: You are my favorite black president so far.
BO: Thank you so much. I like the way you think!
This Twitter user speculated that a rather complimentary exchange on Gaga's part went down... Which, to be honest, is quite believable.
However, some thought it could've been a more music-oriented chat.
Want mics picking up the conversation between Barack Obama and Hillary in the audience. A lot of nodding, so they're clearly talking about the return of reality. Also, Barack telling Lady Gaga about his playlist. #InaugurationDay
— Greg Brian (@Gregoriancant) January 20, 2021
Could Obama really have been telling Gaga about his playlist? I wouldn't put it past him.
Or did they simply muse over the hit Netflix series, Bridgerton?
What do Barack Obama and Lady Gaga talk about in idle conversation? Bridgerton?
— Pete Schroeder (@peteschroeder) January 20, 2021
Probably.
Glamour Magazine also came up with some pretty interesting speculations as to what the pair could have been conversing about.
They theorized that, on Obama's part, he might have asked where the Haus Labs Remix of "Babylon" is, or perhaps queried as to why "Brooklyn Nights" wasn't included on ARTPOP.
Both very valid questions.
And, as for Gaga's topics of choice...
She could have been explaining why Oreos are definitely the way forward when it comes to album promotion, or could very well have been attempting to reenact Scene 98 from a Star Is Born.
Thanks to their face masks, we may never know.
