We might want to ignore it, but whether we like it or not, cargo pants have made a comeback in a big way and seem like they’re here to stay.
We haven’t seen them worn so frequently, or by so many celebs, since the ’90s, but they’re back with a vengeance, and they don’t look like they’re going anywhere anytime soon.
It seems there’s something in the water when it comes to 90s “mom style” – the slouchy, big pants, the babydoll tee, the oversized button-up thrown on top, the messy bun – and the slouchy, big pants everyone is currently gravitating toward are cargos.
I can’t say I’m shocked or particularly upset about it – cargo pants are super comfortable! What does feel upsetting is that now that cargo pants are back in style, they’ve also become increasingly more expensive and harder to find.
Fortunately, I’m a hardcore bargain hunter, and I’ve done my best to find cargo pants that are both affordable and actually stylish.
A-listers all over are embracing this 90s/Y2K look, and if you’re looking to up your style, getting your hands on a pair is an easy way to do it.
The fact is, these pants are super comfortable and super easy to style, so even though it might feel odd to embrace a style we’ve seen explode, die off, and then make a comeback with such great pros, it feels silly not to.
Take a quick scroll on TikTok, and you’ll see cargo pants just like these being styled with all sorts of ‘fits. Shoes of pretty much any shape or color can work with them, too, from heels to sneakers to boots.
Celebs are loving this style so much that they’re rocking the pants on red carpets all over the place!
I might not be a celeb but I’m really loving the cargo look, too!
