Oprah has admitted that she is surprised at Prince Harry’s involvement in their new Apple TV+ docuseries…

In the five-part series with Oprah Winfrey, Harry opens up about his past and his struggles with mental health…

And people clearly aren’t impressed with his most recent comments…

Over the last few years, Prince Harry has been thrown into the spotlight in ways he never imagined…

Along with Meghan, of course.

Last year, the pair formally stepped down from their positions within the royal family…

And they are currently residing in Los Angeles where they’re raising their son, Archie, and expecting their second child.

But as we know, they recently decided to speak out about their terrible experiences with the royal family and British press in the last few years…

To none other than Oprah Winfrey.

It was an interview no one will ever forget.

Their 2-hour-long interview aired on CBS on Sunday, March 7th and viewers watched on in shock as some mind-blowing allegations were made against the monarchy.

For example…

It was claimed that senior members of the family had refused to get Meghan professional help when she was experiencing suicidal thoughts during her pregnancy with Archie.

Meghan also addressed that incident with her sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.

Headlines were made in 2018 when Meghan allegedly “made Kate cry” in a row about bridesmaids’ dresses in the days before her and Harry’s wedding – well, in her chat with Oprah, Meghan claimed that Kate was the one to make her cry.
Though she did stress that Kate had apologized and that she had “forgiven her.”

She also addressed the ongoing issues of racism within the monarchy.

Meghan claimed an unnamed senior member of the Royal family raised “concerns” about how dark Archie’s skin would be before his birth.
“In those months when I was pregnant, all around this same time, so we have in tandem the conversation of, ‘you won’t be given security, not gonna be given a title’ and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.”

Harry then explained that he “had to get out,” though when he did he was “cut off financially” when he and Meghan needed help the most…

He also added that they’ve since been relying on his inheritance from Princess Diana.
“I was totally cut off financially. My family cut me off – if I didn’t have what my mom left me, we wouldn’t have been able to do this.”

“All I wanted to do was keep my family safe.”

Meghan then insisted that they never had any plans at first to quit the U.K – she said the intention was to “do this forever” and that she told the royal family to “use me as much as you like.”

Later in the interview, Oprah asked how the prince thinks the late Princess Diana would have felt about the rifts that drove them to step back from the royal family.

“I think she would feel very angry with how this has panned out, and very sad,” Harry said, “But ultimately, all she’d ever want is for us to be happy.”

It’s undoubtedly caused a lot of drama…

And he revealed everything that was happening behind the scenes…

Oprah Winfrey admitted she is surprised at just how involved Prince Harry was in The Me You Can’t See.

The Apple TV+ show focuses on Harry’s battle with his mental health.

Hee discusses his struggles since childhood and even went as far as accusing the royal family of “total neglect.”

The pair spoke to Good Morning America presenter Robin Roberts about the production of the show…

Oprah said: “I would have to say that Harry was in every meeting, he was there on Zoom usually before I was and turning in his notes before I did. And I was like, ‘Oh! Harry turned in his notes.'”

Then Harry teased that it was all worth it.

“I didn’t know that it was a competition,” he joked. “Now that I know, I’m very glad I did.”

Oprah then gave her opinion on why she thought the series was so important.

“One of the things Harry and I wanted was to have people understand that mental health is on a spectrum and we are all on the spectrum.

“Everybody wants to be heard, everyone needs to be seen.”

Harry then tells Oprah about his attempts to get assistance from his family after Meghan started receiving attacks from the public.

He said: “Every single ask, request, warning, whatever it is, to stop just got met with total silence or total neglect.
“We spent four years trying to make it work. We did everything that we possibly could to stay there and carry on doing the role and doing the job.”

Harry also spoke about the impact of Princess Diana’s death and how “angry” he felt at the British public for mourning his mother.

He later said: “I like to think that we were able to speak the truth in the most compassionate way possible therefore leaving an opening for reconciliation and healing.

“The interview was about being real, being authentic, and hopefully sharing an experience that we know is relatable to people around the world, despite our unique privileged position.”

The five-part series aims to inspire viewers to have honest conversations about their mental health and the challenges that people face. It features celebrities like Lady Gaga, Glenn Close and Prince Harry as a producer.

The documentary is now on Apple TV+ with the first installment airing on May 21st.
