Anderson Jr. was best known for his incredible UCF football career.

Anderson Jr. was a football running back for the Knights from 2017 to 2020, TMZ reports.

He then signed with the Los Angeles Rams after he did not get picked in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Anderson Jr., who is not related to the ex-New York Giants star Ottis Anderson, remained there until earlier this year.

He reportedly died earlier this week following an altercation in Florida.

He is believed to have been involved in a double shooting on Monday evening.

NBC News reports that shots were fired just before 9:30 p.m in Jacksonville.

Officers responding to the incident reportedly arrived to find “2 victims with gunshot wounds, 1 adult Black male and 1 adult Black female,” the outlet reports that a statement from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

Those with wounds were taken to the hospital, but sadly, the man succumbed to his injuries.

The outlet reports that the victims and suspect were not named to begin, however, fifty-two-year Otis Lee Anderson Sr. was later named as a suspect in court documents.

The incident began after Anderson Sr. was bitten by Anderson Jr’s. girlfriends dog, NBC also write.

The pair began arguing as Anderson Sr. flipped a chair over.

Otis Lee Anderson Sr. was said to have been booked on suspicion of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.
