Now, you will all be aware that 9/11 is arguably the most horrific terrorist attack to have ever happened to our country.

This deadly attack was carried out by the terrorist organization, al Qaeda, who ultimately took the lives of nearly 3,000 innocent people and injured 6,000 more, on the fateful day of September 11, 2001.

Within just 3 short hours, the tallest buildings in New York came down in piles of rubble.

A total of 4 airplanes from major U.S air carriers United Airlines and American Airlines were hijacked and flown directly into targets.

The third plane hit the Pentagon, leaving it partially collapsed…

And the final flight was crashed into a field in Pennsylvania after the crew and passengers valiantly fought back against the hijackers.

Thousands of civilians had lost their lives and were seriously injured…

There were hundreds of people working on the floors above where the planes hit, and those who weren’t killed instantly by the impact were stranded in their tiny offices with nowhere to escape the rapidly burning fire from the jet fuel.

This led to some incredibly distressing footage…

People were seen desperately hanging out of their windows and waving t-shirts and rags in an attempt to catch attention and get help.

The magnitude of the situation became apparent when some people began jumping out of windows to escape the blaze.

Which shocked not only the nation but the entire world.

The North Tower was hit at 8:46 am and collapsed at 10:28 am, The South Tower was then hit at 9:03 am and collapsed at 9:59 am…

The collapse of the two towers tragically killed and injured thousands more people.

It has left a mark on all Americans who remember that devastating day…

And every year without fail, we come together to remember those who lost their lives in the devastating attack.

Last September marked 2 decades since 9/11. And earlier this year, brand new footage surfaced online…

Showing a totally new angle of the attack.

The “rare” video came to light after it was uploaded to YouTube by Kevin Westley…

The video starts recording after the first plane hit the North Tower, and manages to capture the second plane hitting the World Trade Center’s South Tower.

The video, which was posted on Youtube on Febuary 24, is captioned: “9-11 Kevin’s Video with raw audio.”

Kevin Westley, who claims to have filmed the attack, states: “I posted this video in the 2000s but accidentally left it private for until now. I gave a Sunday Service on a scout trip to Shiloh battlefield about one of my religious journeys and showed this video… I noticed the video was private and made it public.”

According to Kevin, he only realized recently that the video was private, meaning it’s never been seen by the public before…

The video has since been shared across most social media platforms and left many shocked by the historic footage.

And now, just months later, it seems some people are only just finding out about the third tower that fell that day.

According to a new Reddit thread, hundreds revealed they only recently learned about Tower Seven.

Tower Seven was part of the World Trade Center complex, but significantly smaller than the Twin Towers.

Although the building was never hit by a plane, reports state that debris from the collapse of the towers set part of the building alight.

After the roof caved in and the upper floors were damaged, the building eventually collapsed at around 5.20 pm.

Considering the collapse happened over 7 hours after the first plane hit the Towers, it’s understandable it didn’t have as much media coverage.

But for years conspiracy theorists have used the collapse of Tower Seven as ‘proof’ that the attack was an inside job.

In the Reddit thread, titled: “In school, how many towers did you get told fell on 9/11?” many shared that they only found out recently about the tower.

The user added: “Because I was told 2. I’m 21 years old. I found out there was a 3rd one less than a year ago, and only because I was browsing a CONSPIRACY website. That’s messed up, I’m curious if others were also only taught about 2 towers in school or if I somehow totally forgot I was taught about a 3rd tower (unlikely)…”

“WTC7 is not something they speak that much of. There are probably… reasons,” one user wrote.

Another added: “Aussie here, watched it live when I was 11. I knew of the two towers and the pentagon. I don’t know when I heard about WTC7 but it wasn’t until recent years.”

And now, a video has gone viral that shows 2 students witnessing the tragedy before their own eyes.

According to LADbible, Caroline Dries was a student in September 2001 when she and her roommate, Megan, were woke up by the first explosion.

The 2 students assumed it was a bomb that was planted high up in the building, and all they could see was thick black smoke billowing from the North Tower as well as what they thought was paper.

It was then that Caroline grabbed her camcorder and began filming the events as they unfolded.

In the clip, someone can be heard in the background saying: “Thank God it wasn’t terrorists though.”

And soon after, a young woman started to watch on as people in the building tragically started to jump instead of wait for the inevitable.

That is when the second plane crashes into the neighboring tower.

Reportedly, the South Tower was attacked at 09:03 am and on watching the second explosion, the women realized it was indeed a terrorist attack and fled their NYU dorm.

But it’s what Caroline told CNN back in 2011 that caught everyone’s attention.

“We were kids, like we were so vulnerable and so naïve. My reaction was ‘there’s no way people are going to be jumping to their death’. [I] just couldn’t go there,” she said.

The distressing footage then captured the second plane as well as both their reactions, as they began screaming in panic and shouting: “Oh my God, what do I do?”

“I just remember feeling like I don’t know what to do, that feeling of being so vulnerable, so overwhelming,” she said.

“We ran out of the apartment, took the elevator down to the street and it was just kind of pandemonium on the street with no one knowing what was happening,” she added.

The 2 friends decided to go back to their university flat and saw the next tower collapse to the ground.

“This massive dust cloud, consuming everything in its path is still so surreal,” she said.
