One cat owner decided to sneak her furbaby into class after he wouldn't leave her alone.

The 1-year-old Munchkin cat sits pretty contently underneath the desk, as not to get spotted by the teacher.

His owner, Ms Wen, said as she was getting ready to go the cat wouldn't let her leave.

The uni student, from Xi'an in north-western China, was due to leave for class when her cat, Ba Dun, got cozy on her lap.

She said he was "looking really sad" and didn't want to leave her side.

Wen explained: "But I was running late for my class. I couldn't bear letting him down, so I brought him with me to the classroom."

But after hiding him in her desk, she couldn't help but take a video of the adorable situation.

She added: "He was being really good and didn't make any sounds."

Ba Dun translates to eight meals, she joked: "He could definitely eat eight meals every day if I let him."

Surprisingly, the professor didn't notice he was there the whole time. He only found out after the adorable video was shared online.

The video was posted to Chinese TikTok Douyin on Sunday, where it blew up, gaining over 300 million views!

One viewer wrote: "Oh my god, does he realize how adorable he is?" While another said: "Look at those big, curious eyes! He is studying hard as well."
